I completed it earlier 100% in 5 hours and 58 minutes. They did a great job with this game. So much so that I prefer it to Metroid Zero. With that game the additions to the game from the original felt shoe horned in and out of place. With this one however I thought it was really well designed, engineered excellently and gave plenty of respect to the original game, whilst at the same time adding many new features and secret areas. The music is mixed to a high standard as well. I do have a few little problems with it. Mostly I find Samus' sprite far too small. All the physics and the controls work really well but it just looks too tiny for me. Although I did appreciate the additions to what was in the original, sometimes certain sections felt a little bit drawn out. Particularly the area where you acquire the ice beam. I think the map design could have been more interesting and the puzzles slightly less straight forward. For instance I had no trouble with any of the speed boost segments and I usually detest those. Especially some of the ones in Metroid Zero. Having said all that, the way they adapted the final boss was really well done. Much better than the original. I really recommend finding this and trying it out. The pluses outweigh the minuses. Maybe lacks re playability though which is a shame. |

Not exactly on-topic but didn't they cancel a Metroid 2 remake not too long ago, along with Pokémon Uranium? |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power. | |

Probably because they don't give a s*** about Metroid, as evidenced by them only making that crappy sports thing for it. Pokémon is a much bigger moneymaker so they can't have people saying fans made a better version. Which seems to be the general consensus about the game. I've never particularly cared for Metroid but it's a shame how they just leave fans hanging. Same with F-Zero. |

A pointless endeavour since it was already completed and uploaded onto the internet. So everyone can find it and play it regardless. I heard it's still getting patch updates too. Not that I could see much that needed patching. Unless they want to give Samus a sprite upgrade. |
