How strong is imperfect cell the frought trunks? Is he strong as the imperfect cell that killed piccolo or is he strong as semi perfect cell? Because he was able to take some blows from trunks. And trunks took a bit longer compare to 17 and 18. How strong do you guy's have this imperfect?

He gets absolutely smashed when he tried to fight Trunks. This Cell should be around the one who nearly kills Piccolo. He seemed confident in hunting down the Androids, so I'd say he's at least stronger than No.17 and No.18.

He should be about equivalent to the Cell that fought off Android 16. Cell had probably absorbed just as many humans as the one who went to the past.

The human population had been reduced so greatly by the cyborgs' reign of terror that I doubt very many remained for Cell to absorb. In order to reach the point that he did prior to going after them would require many, many people. Plus, you have Base Trunks repelling Cell far out into the countryside away from the city; of course that was with a Kiai.

My guess is he could have reached his original strength, theoretically. The dwindling human population would be reduced even further but it's possible.

I agree with the above poster. Imperfect Cell was above the SSJ's before the RoSaT without the absorptions in the main timeline so maybe he just got Trunks by surprise and used whatever power advantage he had to kill Trunks.

I don't think there were many people for Cell to absorb around this time, like Thiln said, the population had probably been reduced by a good bit due to the androids. Still, there were probably enough people to put Cell above the androids, remember, the androids in this timeline are weaker than the ones in the original timeline, so Cell probably wouldn't have to absorb as many people as he did in the original timeline. He was probably a bit stronger than the Cell that Piccolo first fought, but I wouldn't say he was as strong as the one that nearly killed Piccolo. Also, the fact that he was able to take some blows from Trunks doesn't mean much, Hercule took a hit from Cell and managed to survive.

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

The Androids had killed off much of the population, so, it's likely that Cell had to take Trunks by surprise in order to guarantee a kill.

This topic has been moved to Dragonball/Z discussion, as it is more of a discussion on power rather than a versus.

Although I do agree with what the above posters said, I feel even if he had absorbed enough humans he would still be weaker than he was in the past. Trunk's stated this in the Android Saga that the present androids weren't as strong as the future ones. It's also supported in The History of Trunks when you see how both androids have to team up on Gohan and/or Trunks just to beat him. It opens up the possibility that the time shift has a direct correlation to strength

He's probably weaker than Gingertown Cell.

This seems to be just the same case from before like the Present Version of Cell. As he went along through the cities, he ultimately found out that the Cyborgs had been stopped by Trunks, kills him and takes his time machine, leading to everything that happened in the Present Timeline.

Here though, this same Cell tries it but Trunks is prepared for Cell and so Cell gets killed and never goes back or absorbing all the people.

Wait that's something I never really thought about. So the trunks that the other cell killed was weaker then that trunks? Unless it was the trunks that first to give goku the medication
