Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

It looks like what would happen if Godzilla got drunk at a party and then later finds Hedorah at his door claiming that Shin is his baby.

Kinda off topic . . But Shin Godzilla looks like a Titan-ish version of Godzilla. I'm not gonna lie, kinda liking the shin version. But I'm kinda hyped about the new anime although I'm just reading about it now lol thanks for the info!!! 👍👍

He looks like that because they designed him after looking at pictures of nuclear war victims (especially from Nagasaki and Hiroshima) which is clever, in my opinion (look them up if you want, though some photos are pretty disturbing).

Of course, a lot people think this is the creepiest Godzilla design yet (moreso than GMK Godzilla even), but there are some people who don't like this design, just because he looks fragile and has short arms, because ya know, Godzilla's mostly well known for using his arms in his solo movies, not for shooting an atomic breath, destroying buildings and fighting the army, which is all he does in Shin Gojira, from what I've heard.

Which is bizarre, because this Godzilla has nothing to do with Hiroshima. In fact, from what I've heard he's closer to the Fukushima disaster and water pollution than anything else.

He doesn't just look fragile, he is.

Darker, the fact that this godzilla has short arms, really limits the godzilla because the godzilla can't get in close for melee combat. The only way 2016 gozilla can win, is if it has a strong beam plus it would help if it was faster than other godzillas to even be considered top tier. Because as it stands, it doesn't look like this godzilla can't even win against Kiryu. lol

Losing to Kiryu isn't a bad thing, Kiryu was a badass. Poor example here.

Kiryu isn't even high tier. It's mid tier @ best because it's always malfunctioning. Plus it's a lightweight compared to the other kaiju. lol

No need for that.
The original one from the '54 movie wasn't good for melee either.

Plus this one's got a really powerful atomic breath.

@lazer

When the movie was first announced, Shin Godzilla was supposed to be the same one from the '54 one, that's what I heard.
Plus it makes sense he'd look so f***ed up, even if he was only part of the Fukushima disaster. I'm still going with what was originally announced.

He isn't directly related to Fukushima, but he's been feeding on radioactive waste in general for some time and the big floods we see in the movie bring it to mind. He's cancerous but not exactly burned by any bomb, and he's only cancerous from eating the Murican nuclear trash

Well, I never considered the 54 version of godzilla to be all that powerful. But I get why you are comparing the two. godzilla doesn't need to be that powerful to drive a point. Godzilla is supposed to be an result of the bombings in Japan & protects nature or soemthing like that. lol

Here's the king in all his glory. The MonsterVerse king, in any case.
