I mean, I don't know if I am remembering things correctly, but wasn't Cell's pandering to Vegeta what lead to him reaching Perfect Cell? Wasn't Vegeta's hubris and idiocy what lead to Cell reaching Perfect form, how come he is never held accountable at all for that, in my opinion, it's one of the biggest mistakes by a character in the series. It's never really developed upon after the fact, Vegeta's only importance in the Cell Arc after that is nearly being killed by Cell and having Gohan take a shot for him. He never has any regret over it, he is never given any grief over it, I just find it kinda ridiculous. I mean Goku rejecting revival could put the blame on Goku, but there would have never been a need for revival if it wasn't for Vegeta allowing Cell to reach perfect form. I mean Vegeta even prevented Trunks from stopping Cell. |

Vegeta did get blamed for allowing Cell to become perfect, both in-universe and in the fandom. Though in-universe it gets forgotten about pretty quick. Vegeta allowing Cell to become perfect Goku's death because the 2 happen pretty far apart so no one directly links them. You could trace it back to Vegeta, but Gohan not killing Cell was a more recent and relevant cause of it. |

I think Vegeta was somewhat responsible for Cell becoming complete (as was Krillin), not for Goku's death though. As for Goku's death, Gohan not finishing Cell fast enough lead to tragedy but it was ultimately Goku's decision. |

Vegeta shares fault by association, but it's really Gohan's and Goku's faults. Goku shouldn't have withheld vital information from Gohan like his inner power, and Gohan shouldn't have f***ed around for so long. |

Vegeta somewhat redeemed himself when he fired a chi attack at Cell's back, which allowed Goku to gain the upper hand in the KHH struggle and destroy Cell completely. |
