It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

I don't know exactly. It feels quite powerful to me though in some way. It's art.
WoW Legion Ending - Thank you Darker for making this into one, big incredible gif! <3

What will you do when you get old?

From what I'm getting the image is saying that they aren't cosnidered true Americans by adding a descriptor, or at least that's what the comic is trying to portray.

Call me red pilled, but I'm getting another message from the comic as well.

I guess I should have said the political cartoon in the OP and not the signature. I didn't even notice they were the same.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I don't really understand the comic. I assume it's talking about the fact that we all supposedly came from Africa (not sure how true that is, never looked into it), which would make all Americans 'African Americans'.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Yeah I'm not following that either, by that logic white people and all others should be involved too.
Unless we're the evil people that came from some other place, probably.

But yeah Native Americans and Africans or African Americans are just not the same no matter how you slice it.
Maybe it's in reference to the overall "story" of either race? Idk. The social commentary is lost on me.

I wouldn't trust that there's even a message to be gleaned from this comic. For one thing, the speech bubbles are placed in a way that makes it impossible to determine which character is saying what, so we're unable to tell what's going on at all. They gave who whose identity? For another, the writer of the comic doesn't use proper grammar. While normally that wouldn't strike me as an absolute sign of ignorance, both of these facts combined do in this case.

The guy of African descent is trying to say he's a native American - that he's native to America. Whether he's also trying to also say that the Native American isn't, to which he agrees, is pretty up in the air, but one day'll we'll know the truth.

Basically, whoever made this either thinks that being born somewhere makes you a native, and the Native Americans agree, or that people of African descent are the true natives of America, and the Native Americans agree.

Then that makes it truly hilarious if we all originate from Africa.

Maybe somewhere along my ancestry I'm from Africa but I personally am from the UK, I don't belong in Africa I'd probably f***ing melt if I went there.

To be fair, I don't think the Native American really agrees with him.

He's very obviously in the habit of stabbing him in the back.

I don't know it just looks like two queers hugging and comforting each other. It's probably taken from a panel of a comic primarily intended for queers.

Ohhhhh wait. Maybe the African American is the one saying the bubble on the left, and he's referring to the fact that "African American" is a silly term because he didn't actually come from Africa--he was born in America.

Idfk dude, this is the dumbest comic panel I've ever seen. They're also naked.

Wait...so people apparently call Native Americans, African Americans?

I have never heard of that, my guess would be only stupid people think that because you all get taught a lot more about the natives over there don't you? Here in the UK we don't get taught much of US history but that much is basic knowledge.

Yeah, the speech bubbles are round the wrong way, but that's exactly what it's trying to say.

No, the African American is saying that his people should be called "Native Americans".

The wording seems to suggest that "his" identity was given to the Native Americans—as if it's not actually/also the Native American's—but that's very probably not the intention. Just a poorly written point about how they were born there, too.
