Maybe this would be better if we had a gay/bi person's perspective.

You're already here.

@breaker: I've given my impersonal perspective. From a personal perspective, I can't say much other than it lines up with what everyone in this thread has said. On top of that, I know others within the community who have experienced the same. No one I know chose to be gay or bisexual and exhibited "gay traits" early on.

I don't feel like doing your research for you. If you actually want to know more, it's out there; otherwise you're probably just attempting to discredit me for the lols.

Make sure you look at unbiased, scientific sources tho.

It is as choice as having blue or green eyes. I think it is pretty obvious so that is genetics

Non-heterosexual present.

I always knew something was different, even when I was girl-crazy.

One of my earliest memories confirming I was non-heterosexual is having feelings for my best friend. I remember enjoying hugging him very much and we were just 6 or 7. It was a different feeling compared to our other friends.

Well I just found 3 credible articles that disagree but I'm not gonna do your research

see why that's poor discussion/debating form?

You don't exactly have a great track record in DD. Your plan is to run me around in circles despite the fact that I'm right. Even when someone is correct, there's always a way to play devil's advocate and troll them.

http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2015/10/homosexuality-may-be-caused-chemical-modifications-dna
http://www.latimes.com/science/sciencenow/la-sci-sn-genetic-homosexuality-nature-nurture-20151007-story.html

A bit different, but still not a choice: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2016/03/15/homosexuality-may-be-triggered-by-environment-after-birth/

There are hundreds more where that came from, just as there are probably quite a few that say the opposite; however, that doesn't mean that I'm wrong. There are probably dozens of sources claiming that the earth is flat, too.

Dude I just wanted to read about the thing thats the point of the thread, and since it's not my area of expertise like physics, math and philosophy are I gotta ask ppl where they got their info cuz I don't have a horse the race with biology and psychology, neuroscience and the like like buubs is

But ty for the sources I don't mean to sound rude it's just annoying when ppl think I'm trolling just cuz I wanna know where they're coming from with their p.o.v.

Keep googling then. Try google, google scholar, or any other database you have access to. You're bound to find loads of info. I apologize if you're being serious, but you have to admit that you've given me no real reason to take you seriously in DD thus far.

Idk man I make pretty good points, but per usual I don't intend to raze this thread like it's AOE
Anyway the very first article reads that there's no causation found between genes and orientation so that's outta the question since it pairs up with the other articles

Anyone know anything about fetal development and hormone release? I remember someone telling me that homosexuals have a higher exposure to some hormone during extremely early development and that's the cause but I can't find it
