I don't think I've ever seen him put around Super Boo, Goku would want nothing to do with him if that were the case.

I think Fat Boo had the same potential as Pure Boo, but only ended up using 66% of that against Goku when they fought.

Goku seems much more physically fit, but Boo showed no signs of being fatigued or fearful of Goku's power. Goku says he could've defeated Boo in Super Saiyan 3, but to be honest, even Piccolo said that Boo's ki was a lie. I have him around 2x SSj2 Goku and Majin Vegeta, perhaps a little less after the split, which is around 40% of his power against Goku.
	The vengeance is her's for as long as she stands by Him.

He was literally expelling the evil within him, not simply huffing and puffing because someone insulted him. Piccolo and Dende never made any mention of Boo's power increasing, which would seem odd to never point that out regardless of how quick the process was. Dai Kaioshin's influence put a cap on Fat Boo's power that he couldn't get past, and thus his evil was forced out instead of his power increasing even more. So, no, I don't think he got stronger. Do you think Toriyama was referring to potential when Goku said he could killed the fat Buu no doubt about it? In my opinion, I don't its potential, Kami and Piccolo fused back together and when they did KamiPiccolo was incredibly powerful. I remember Kami being way lower than Nappa, so them joining back together somehow triggered some type of fusion boost.
