Ok, this topic was inspired by a post in the topic asking what we would wish for if we had all seven dragonballs (someone replied they would wish for unlimited wishes). That got me to thinking; I've never actually known at any point in the storyline, so I have to wonder, could you wish for more wishes when using the Dragonballs? (This may have been touched on in the Dragonball anime, as I didn't watch much of it, but I've never heard of it coming up in Dragonball Z). |

I'm getting very angry with you, and for me that is a very bad thing, so watch yourself.

It's a wish no one ever made in the series but I don't think Shenron would allow it. Shenron's powers are limited so that's probably another reason why there was only one wish. Granting more wishes what just limit the power of the wish even more. |

I doubt it. It's hard to explain, but Shenlong isn't capable of going beyond his creator's power, and giving himself more wish granting ability would fall into that category. Sure he could be reconfigured to grant more wishes, but his individual wish power would be reduced. Dende stated this when he created Shenlong 2.0. |

That's exactly right. Kami was only able to have Shen Long be able to grant one wish. Dende was only able to make Shen Long grant two wishes (although I feel like at some point in the story, someone forgot about that and now we had three wishes on the Earth Dragon Balls). So obviously wishing for more wishes would exceed Shen Long's power and it would simply not be allowed. HOWEVER, it does strike me as odd that nobody has tried it yet lol After all, we only learn about Shen Long's limit after all of Dragon Ball had concluded. I mean it's not against the rules so it's not impossible. |
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?! Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

The mere notion that Kami couldn't create a version of the Dragon Balls that could grant more than one wish and Dende couldn't create a version of the Dragon Balls that could grant more than two wishes (and boy, did he try), that automatically kind of means that such a wish would exceed Shen Long's power. |

I doubt it would be within his power to do so. |
