I've used them since I was maybe 11 or 12 years old. I wear them every day because I'm legally blind without them. I wouldn't say there's really a routine behind it. I just need them to function. |

I was just thinking putting them on every day and taking them off every night I'm getting used to it, it's no big deal... Which is why I called it a routine.

Yeah, you get used to it quickly and after that it's just clockwork. Remember to replace them after a month or whatever though. I used to leave mine in for way too long and ended up with multiple eye infections, so they switched me to daily contacts. |

I got two-week lenses, so I'm counting the days. |

I feel like I'm eventually going to need glasses at some point. I enjoy playing basketball and football, so I'll probably have to opt for contacts when playing. Can anyone tell me what it feels like initially? Do you get used to the feeling quickly? |

"Then you've got the chance to do better next time." "Next time?" "Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is." | |

I have been using them since 2010 ..they are cool, and I use them almost everyday... ![]() Once you get used to it, it is really good. There are some issues with it, cleaning procedure in the mornings but whatever

Yeah, it's pretty odd in the beginning because you're not used to touching your eyes so you flinch a lot with your lashes. You get used to this quickly though. |

I actually used contact lenses for a few years before I ever bought my first pair of specs. I was really self-conscious at the time at the thought of wearing glasses, so ya. I ended up getting monthly contacts at first, but it became too much of a hassle of having to take care of them and put them into a pot of hydrogen peroxide with a tab at the bottom to turn it into water. I also accidentally squirted my eye with hydrogen peroxide instead of saline solution once.............................. that mother f***er hurt for a while. After about a year or two of using monthlies, I opted for dailies. During university, I bought my first pair of glasses because f*** having to fiddle with my eye before every morning lecture. My time management back then was piss poor, so I didn't have time in the morning to do it and would end up rushing to my lectures. I haven't used contacts in about 5 years now, tho. I might go back to buying them soon since they would help a lot with some of the activities I do. edit: most ppl i know who use them have said they got used to it fairly fast, but i naturally have dry eyes and they get irritated fairly easily even tho i had extra mois (hahaha) lenses. it's not so bad at the start of the day, but they irritate the s*** out of me when i have them on for more than a few hours, which is another reason why I finally decided to just buy specs. i would suggest go for daily ones cuz you wear them for a day and then throw them out (i think it was like £70 for a monthly pack from vision express at the time). that way you can just wear them whenever you need to, and wear glasses at other times like if youre just lounging at home/not doing much.
