I get what you are saying, and I'll admit, the way I've been wording things kind of sounds like I don't understand it, but I do understand. I know WHY he did it, I just don't like THAT he did it (capitalization for emphasis, not anger). Yeah, he has his reasons, but even then, I feel like that was a big problem. I think if, as he said after Gohan defeated Cell, he had stopped training, and gave up fighting, and when he heard Goku was coming back, that was the reason he allowed it, because it was the only chance he had, it would be better. Heck, I'd even take a plot of, after the death of Goku, and the defeat of Cell, Vegeta left Earth. And was found and changed by Babadi, and suggested he go to Earth, because there were strong warriors there, and he could get the needed energy quickly. Then, Babadi hides him from everyone, while referencing a "secret weapon". Then, the shock of seeing Goku in person awakened his dormant feelings, and he regained control, while still keeping the increased abilities. At least, that way, if nothing else, it's a bigger shock.
