I actually want to say there was the name of a Greek god somewhere in the NT. But I'm not the greatest with the Bible admittedly.

What will you do when you get old?

No clue, never read the New Testament

. I'm just saying the description of the Judeo-Christian God and deities that preceded it are very similar, if not identical. Technically the image of the Judeo-Christian God is a false idol, but I'm thinking that the Judeo-Christian God did not want to be represented in any sort of physical form because it was Zeus/Wotan/Perun/Dyēus. To cover up their identity and risk having future humans put two and two together, they tried to erase the image so as to keep their believers believing in the "one true god", or simply the one who killed everyone else..

What deities preceded Him, and how were they similar? I could look it up if you can't be bothered to answer.

Some say the second coming of Jesus was April 20th, 1889 and that he failed to destroy evil and subsequently died April 30th, 1945.
Which source says that?

In the bible it says, the second coming of Jesus is to bring salvation. And the salvation in the bible refers to the Passover.
I'm bad with history and even I knew what he was referring to
Adolf Hitler?

Worship of Dyēus and Zeus predated Christianity and the Hebrew tribal religions, Dyēus predated Zeus and many think Zeus and Dyēus are the same gods but at different periods of time and many other gods were modeled after Dyēus. There's also the camp that thinks Dyēus represents many other Proto indo-European gods and not just one. Dyaus Pita is also Zeus/Dyēus in the Rigveda.

As for Wotan and Perun, they share the same domains as Zeus/Dyēus so while they are not directly attributed to them, it seems like a logical assumption to say they are the same gods. The Judeo-Christian God shares their domains as the "supreme god", the head of the Heavens, god of storms, god of wisdom, god of the sky. Technically Indra was the head of the Rigvedic pantheon and not his father, and he fits the description a little bit better, but as I said, many wars were fought among the gods. The Judeo-Christian god was just the only winner.

No, more surprised he used Hitler with Jesus second coming. Or specifically he said some 'say' Hitler was the 2nd coming. This is why I asked for a source.

Holy Christ, Yeshua.

It was obvious you were sniffing the Bible pretty hard lately, but you're now just centimetres away from a monastery. There goes any small hope I might have had that you would eventually see the light and join us in decent society, as it seems you were further blinded, instead.

Is your new found zeal anything to do with that guy who got you asking me questions?

What is wrong with me reading and trying to understand the bible?

Your religion, Arianism believes in God, but doesn't believe Jesus as divine, right? If that's your belief fine, but why all the snobby remarks about sniffing the bible pretty hard? Are you mad that majority of Christianity believes in Jesus and your religion don't worship Jesus?

"Small hope in joining you in your decent society"

I'm fine where I am thank you, maybe a little bit angry and would like to be less angry, but fine with life (career and personal life), how about you? Are you okay?

I'm assuming you're referring to KidBuu55 when you said 'that guy'? What question did I ask you?

It's not that Jesus isn't divine, but that he and God are not one and the same. Likewise with the Holy Spirit. I know because they told me so.

Still, we Arians have nothing against other Christians - it's the Jews we can't stand.

I've never been okay; nor do I imagine I ever will be.

You tell me. You're the one who apparently asked it.

@SSj4: Why are you so interested in Christianity if you're agnostic, and why do you have such a huge problem with atheism? I sense some type of misunderstanding about the terms here.

Genuinely curious.

and months or a year from now when a new thread is made it'll be like no one listened to us and they'll carry on making the same arguments.
It wouldn't be DBZF without a bi-annual religious thread that goes 20 pages and then get's locked.

I know, right? This thread is actually itching me to create debate numero 69. It's also making me nostalgic over Coolest.
