If God exist, he's not all-powerfull I haven't read a lot of the thread yet but I happened to read this post You're applying our logic to God, who defies our logic. We can't comprehend whatever god's response is to your question. Can God create a 5 sided square? Yes. How the f*** does that work? Idk but he's god so it doesn't matter

Favourite Manga dat boi	They're not pointless questions. If questions like that were pointless, there would be no point in believing in or thinking deeply about anything. If you want to believe in something because you have that trump card up your sleeve, then go again, but skeptics are going to criticize it because it doesn't make any kind of rational sense. Neither side is possible to prove with 100% certainty. One of those sides just makes more sense to me than the other.

"God defies our logic" is not an actual argument or explanation. It's an excuse that we humans tell ourselves because we don't know any better. Atheists like to think and follow rational thought. They don't like to just blindly fill in all the blanks they come across simply because they need an answer.

Anyway, from what I can tell nobody in this thread is directly calling someone stupid for believing in the Judeo-Christian God or the other gods.. What I'm getting is that they find the concept of it stupid, not the people who believe in it.

Claiming that God defies logic whilst nothing else does is the equivalent of claiming that God created the logic we adhere to when we in fact know that it was humans who created that logic in the first place. Everything adheres to our man-made logic because we created it. Bringing God into the equation as something that defies said logic is problematic. I'm not sure if I worded that correctly, but I'm certainly thinking some thoughts here. Edited by Doggo Champion 2k17, Aug 8 2016, 09:20 PM.
