To be perfectly honest, I think Agnostic Atheism should be everyone default position when talking about religion. Not because it's my position and I think it's correct, but because you should never side with a position that fails to meet the burden of proof. With Atheism, there's no burden of proof; people don't believe in a God because there's no evidence for a God. It's not a positive claim; no evidence is required it. Religion, on the other hand, has the burden of proof; it's making a positive claim (that a God exists), so there should be evidence to support it if people are expected to believe it.

Well, I suppose I could start by asking why you believe in a god despite it being illogical. It contradicts many scientific facts that we, since creating god, have discovered to be true.
What uh scientific facts would that be

Pretty much any scientific fact that contradicts the many illogical stories scattered throughout the Bible? Do I really need to list them all for you?

14 might be too far, Laz. :|

I have not met anyone like you. How religious are you?

I also don't understand all the different terms unless explained like apatheist, though, that's a great term to learn. I've been trying to describe a few friends that way for awhile. A lot of it was some of the Gods that Jar Jar mentioned that I was too lazy to Google. Too busy reading history...

Actually Clank, don't answer that. Rather than having you respond and then me listing them all for you, I'll just point you in the direction of a couple of links. There are too many for me to list and explain in my own words right now.

http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Biblical_scientific_errors
http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/science/long.html

There are many more where that came from, but usually rational wiki and skeptics annotated bible are really good, factual sources.

We're talking about the Abrahamic god here. I was aiming the question at Shining Light, who is a Christian. No worries.

...Criiiiiiiiiiiiiingeeeeeyyyyy. :|

lmao, anyway. I'm merely asking how closely do you follow your religion? Participate in religious activities related to it and whatnot. I literally know nothing about Arianism. This may be a better inquiry for Google.

I think Lazuli was being sarcastic about his Arian thingy.

But you know, Poe's law and everything.

Does Wotanism count or do you consider that more of a way of life than an actual religion?

Don't worry, Sam, I wasn't being sarcastic.

Arianism doesn't require any special ritual or event. We go to church like everyone else, but we hold the the logical belief that God and Jesus are not the same guy. As to how religious I am personally, well, does the amount I go to church make me more so than the next guy?

I think what matters is my relationship to God, and that's not something language is cut-out to explain.
