That's why I asked if it was alright. If he doesn't want repeated types then I guess I'll go with Vulpix. We're being quite generous with our suggestions thus far though, someone should go ahead and legit nominate Sunkern. ![]() Also good morning Becca babz, you sexay thang. |

1.) XXX 2.) Wailmer/Wailord 3.) Ekans/Arbok 4.) Eevee/Vaporeon 5.) ??? 6.) ??? You all can pick any Pokemon you wish as long as its not a legendary and as long as it has an evolution of some sort (though in such a case you could pick something like Farfetch'd. If you want to replace Eevee with Sunkern, we can do that. Only need two more and then we'll be off with her rag tag bunch of misfits. And later down the line, perhaps Wailmer/Wailord will learn fissure? Edited by EMIYA, Aug 28 2016, 12:44 PM.

I nominate...Manectric because Electric and terrible Although that might be a bit difficult to get in Soul Silver I guess. If you can't get an Electrike relatively early then... Let's give Rapidash some love! I was going to go for Arcanine but that's too easy. So emphasis on Manectric/Electrike but if you can't get that for like 90% of the game time Rapidash/Ponyta. That cool? You should be able to get an Electrike in the trading station place I guess although that depends on how active it is so many years later. Also I can barely remember how old I am sometimes, still remember the names of like 500+ Pokémon aside from the newest generations... EDIT I kinda want to break out my own Soul Silver and do a run never really bothered anything like nuzlocke. Though I've yet to finish Alpha Sapphire. Edited by Steve, Aug 28 2016, 01:40 PM.

I'm just going to be using a cheat where I can choose certain Pokemon that show up in the wild, catch them and I'll have my team for the rest of the game. 1. XXX 2.) Wailmer 3.) Eevee 4.) Ekans 5.) Elektrike 6.) ??? I only need one more and we can start this glorious journey! Edited by EMIYA, Aug 28 2016, 03:02 PM.

Ah, what are the HM rules here? Like if you don't have a Pokémon that can learn Fly are you allowed to bring in a Pidgey or something temporarily for such purposes? 'cause if not someone needs to nominate a flying type(unless that's your choice) |

If a Pokemon on the list can learn an HM, they will get it. If one of the Pokemon can't, I'll get another just for that point. Wailmer can learn surf, whirlpool and waterfall, probably strength as well, I'm sure one of them can learn cut, not sure. I'm hoping someone does pick a flying type because 'Fly" isn't necessary for the game but its damn useful. |

Six badges down now, but wow, this has been challenging. There's been so many battles where I had to get ultra-strategic in my approach, using a host of non-attacking moves to get the win. Doesn't help that I've made things harder for myself a couple of times, choosing the grass starter so the rival would choose the fire starter and also having Volbeat & Illumise in my team (although they actually aren't terrible now that they've levelled up a bit and have some decent moves, plus Illumise's Charm has been very useful). I'm both enjoying it because it's such a different type of run than I've done before, but also can't wait for it to end because I wanna get started on another Nuzlocke that I've got planned. I also just checked the Elite Four and there's a fire guy, which will be fun. I should have Powder by then though, which should make things easier. Man, all wanted was to get Xerneas for my collection, should have just gone with a regular run. |

Excellent work Mitas. You're Mono-Type play has actually influenced me to do something very similar with Platinum again. Except instead of a mono-type, I'm doing something a bit different. --- --- "It was a dazzling and breath taking day in the region of Sinnoh as the waters of Lake Verity. The sounds of the splashing water presented a soothing sound to the Pokemon nearby. The lake, filled to the brim with young Pokemon was watched over by the Great Spirit of the Lake...Mespirit. For time unknown it watched over the young lives of these very Pokemon. Mespirit was proud of the Pokemon it watched over, believing each one would accomplish great deeds in its life. Except Mr. Mime who lived around the north...he sucked. But Mespirit felt a chill one day. An incoming evil that it knew was not stopped, would spell the end not only to Lake Verity, but to Sinnoh and the entire Pokemon world as well. The cries from its fellow kin Uxie and Azelf reminded it soon of the very dangers. Something had to be done to stop the evil from taking over and destroying Sinnoh! It knew of the best group to handle this dangerous adventure. Only one group trusting enough and strong enough to take on the challenges ahead! TEAM WHIRL!!! Spoiler: click to toggle Lead by their leader, Captain Kipper, the bundle group of Mudkips were Lake Verity's finest group. Upon hearing the cry of help from Mespirit, Captain Kipper immediately got his misfit bunch of buddies together and set off to stop the evil that threatened the land. With the pride of "Team Whirl" behind his back, Captain Kipper would not fail in his journey. The others gleefully follow him, ready to support both him, Mespirit and lives of everyone Lake Verity, Sinnoh and the world. Will the bundles of watery ground joys be able to accomplish this daunting task? POKEMON Middle: Captain Kipper: The esteem leader of "Team Whirl" A great and confident leader that all the other Mudkips look up to. However even he knows that he is nothing without his fine team. Upper Right: First Mate Spout: A dashing young member of Team Whirl who always stands at the front to support the team. His intelligence and quick thinking are always on top. Upper Left: Major Pop: A proud and voracious Mudkip, Major Pop excess in moveset and TM learning. When it comes to direct battle he is the one they all look for to advice. Bottom Left: Lt. Bubbles: The quiet and self secluded member of Team Whirl. Lt. Bubbles is often one of a short words but his skills and ability to back up his friends is without peer. Bottom Right: Chef Wash, the cook of the team. Wash may not necessarily be the best fighter, but his ability to cook up a good berry potion is without equal. Without him, how could Team Whirl goon with empty stomachs? Bottom: Swabbie: The young of Team Whril, Swabbie has a lot to learn. The weakest, the slowest, but perhaps the one thing he has above all the others is the will to accomplish amazing things. Captain Kipper has high hopes for the little guy. And so...the journey of Team Whirl Begins. --- --- Oh yes! A Full Mudkip Playthrough, no other evolutions and no other pokemon (though I'll probably make a quick exception for HMs like "fly") Support "Team Whirl" on their journey to save Sinnoh! I'm confused as to why we still get only the one save file, it's about time they changed that. Lots of people like to start all over again. We should get at least three save files surely, at least the option to export and import our own anyway. Obviously it would have to be pretty cheat proof though. They have Pokemon Bank now though which is a paid service where they keep your pokemon in storage as a way of allowing you to keep what is essentially your game's work if you wanted to reset and start a different one, whilst at the same time allowing them to make more money. |

Team Whirl Update: Confidence was high with Team Whirl as the rambunctious group of Mudkips stormed off to save the land of Sinnoh. Details given to them by the great Mespirit expressed some kind of "Devil Pokemon" which was trying to warp the world into its own. None of them really had a clue what that meant, even the smartest of them, 1st Mate Spout was left clueless. Swabbie was scared, what could a Devil Pokemon look like? Was it a Bug Type? A Dark Type? Did it look like an inebriated Zubat? But before they could even face off against this literal devilish foe, Team Whirl had to come to business in Oreburgh. The poor Pokemon of the city, forced to mine for minerals and TMs by the terrible Cranidos and his minions of rock. Of course Team Whirl would not allow this destroyer of hopes and dreams take away the rights of all Pokemon. Captain Kipper and the team struck! Their power was unexpected and the Onyx, zubat and Geodudes that enslaved the poor Pokemon were easily crushed. But Hard Hat Cranidos was stronger than expected. Team Whirl took several beatings, barely inching away from utter defeat. But with some quick thinking and the final blow dealt by none other than Swabbie himself, the reign of Cranidos fell. Cheers rang across Oreburgh, the slave Pokemon free of their turmoil while Team Whirl went off. But in the ruins of defeat, how could they have known that Cranidos was only the tip of the iceberg of terrible things to come. They had defeated Hard Hat Cranidos barely, but how could they stand up to the Type they were directly weak against? How could they possibly defeat the Grass Type "Garden Grave Roserade?" OOC: Took me 3 times to beat the Rock Gym though this was more on being a bit under leveled at the time. |

That's a really unique idea. I'll be interested to see how varied their movesets are in the future. And that Grass gym could prove near impossible, good luck! |

There's a lot of balance between offense and defense I've done between the "members" I've got a good area of higher level ones acting more on offense while the slightly weaker ones I have more on the defensive pattern, using things like Growl, Mud-Slap, etc to lower Accuracy and Attack. In many cases it's help to weak the opponents enough that the stronger members can finally handle it. Ironically the first battle Mars and Purugly, something that usually takes me 2-3 tries to beat I ended up winning against with this strategy alone. And yes I'm on the Grass Gym and needles to say...it's a nightmare. I can't wait until I get an Ice Move and once I get a good ground move like Dig, the team will have a least some measures covered. Just a matter of who gets them. The good thing is that, once I do get past the Grass Gym, theoretically I shouldn't face overwhelming problems until the Electric Gym and I should have some good sets by then. Team Whirl Update Jesus ***ing Christ!......anyways. After a few mishaps with the villainous Team Galactic in which strange and bizarre Pokemon wanted to change the universe...and dressed funny as well were quickly done with, Team Whirl arrived in Eterna. They were quickly drawn to the strange statue of the Local God Pal. Lt. Bubbles was rather intrigued by Pal the Local God of Distance. However the cook had more pressing matter at hand in procuring some new potions and medicine for the team. Things were peaceful in Eterna... Too peaceful. Team Whirl realized that a terrible thing was going on in Eterna. Garden Grave Roserade kept a viny whip over the town, forcing them give up their daily earnings of potions to satiate her grassy lust! Though many had tried to fight her, they proved ineffective against her cronies and herself. One Bronzor told the sad story of how his own son had been taken away and viciously Magic Leafed until he moved no more. Major Pop wanted none of this! Pokemon must live together in harmony, peace and love. He urged Captain Kipper to go to to the Garden of Unhelpful Delight where Roserade and her lackeys stood. For once...Captain Kipper was hesitant. Hard Hat Crandios was one thing, but to fight something that was their weakness in Type? The young Mudkip knew he had to stop this vile creature of Grass and Poison...but he also knew he had to get stronger. The others agreed and promised to return to make Roserade pay for her crimes. Captain Kipper grind and grind as the others supported him along the way. He grew stronger...and stronger...learning new moves and gaining her levels. The tears of the poor Bronzor father etched itself into their minds. So thus it was time to head to Roserade and defeat her villainous gang of... And needless to say the biggest a*** whooping imaginable happen. It didn't matter what Team Whirl threw at them, they pounded them, crushed them, decimated them. The only thing keeping them alive was their pure will and determination. The wicked Witch of Grass laughed at them as her Turtwig and Cherubi lashed at them with their mighty powers. It was hard for Captain Kipper, the one who had to be strong in front of his team, being reduced to a punching bag. He wanted to help out poor Swabbie who cried out for help. Swabbie, so small and young, yet so brave. A new burst of energy was released from Captain Kipper. As if the full potential of his Bide had finally been unleashed, a might ONE HIT KO blew through the meaningless Turtwig like knife through a butter. An incredible scene, nothing could stop the mighty Captain from taking revenge on this dreaded Grass World. But then to his shock, to everyone's shock...even though he was gone...even though he was not of this world. TURTWIG ATTACKED AGAIN!!!! Impossible! Nobody knew how the fainted Pokemon was still moving. It had not endured the hit, it had not been Sturdy or something. As if the ghost of its own evil compelled it to fight despite the loss of his own physical form. Captain Kipper attacked! But each time he put down this Ghost Turtwig, it would only return, as strong as before. Watching the battle, First Mate Spout didn't know what black magic Roserade and her hooligans were using. But he knew that unless something was done now, their journey to save Sinnoh would end in turmoil. As if set their by the very hand of Arceus himself, Spout saw a ball. Without needing to think twice, he yelled at the others to get away and tossed the lonely item towards the terrible trio. Shocked! Garden Grave Roserade, Chill Killer Cherubi and Eternal Death Turtwig cried out in fear and horror as they were sucked into the oblivion. It was with that the cruelty of Roserade was ended. A battle that took everything the team had but in the end victory was sound. There would never been remorse or forgiveness though for the three monsters. The ball that trapped them all was dropped into one of Eterna's deep lakes where it sunk to the bottom for...eterna-ty. They say that you can still hear the cries of the trapped souls in their. It won't be long before Roserade and Cherubi succumb to the fate of ever lasting fainting but Turtwig, who somehow traded his physical body for power would last their for who knows how long. With nowhere else to go, with nothing left to do...Turtwig soon stopped thinking entirely. --- --- OOC: Again...holy mother of crap! Alright so basically it went like this. While I didn't expect to be beating the Grass Gym all that easily, I wanted to at least practice a bit and see where everyone was. Needless to say it probably took a good 15x just getting through the trainers before finally reaching Gardenia. Then she started kicking everyone's a*** to the point where I finally had to start grinding Kipper up until he was Level 28 and knew Take Down. I was hoping having a massive strong move would work. It did...until Roserade came in and started kicking everyone's a***. At this point with all the trouble going on with grinding, I just thought...screw it, I'll put in a quick One HIt KO cheat and just get this crap out of the way. I'd be more lenient if grinding wasn't so painfully long. So I do that, KO the Turtwig...and it's still attacking. It's not on the screen, it's sprite is gone, but its still going like the game hates me and its mocking me for my failures. Like I can't even properly cheat! I'm desperate at this point, so I put in the "Catch Other People's Pokemon" cheat in and thank goodness that worked and I guess Gardenia was like...screw this crap, have the badge. So yeah...2nd badge collected!
