Novacane for the pain

With the Euro's over and actual competitions starting up, it's time for a shiny new thread for a new season.

Plymouth will win every match and get a straight promotion. They might even be so good that they skip all the other leagues and go straight to the Premier League. Totally going to happen... yep.

Leve Feyenoord 1!

Seems fair enough.

Premier League: West Ham United wins. Why? Leicester won it last year and they've made good acquisitions, so better question: why not?
Championship: Newcastle United
League One: idk. Walsall?
League Two: Plymouth will win every match and get a straight promotion. They might even be so good that they skip all the other leagues and go straight to the Premier League.

1. Bundesliga: Bayern München stomps.
Ligue 1: PSG one-shots.
La Liga: Let's give it to Atlético Madrid.
Serie A: Juventus. surprisingly...
Primeira Liga: Sporting CP win it for once.
Eredivisie: Feyenoord, because it's about damn time.
Champions League: Lincoln FC. They beat Celtic, so who will stop them now?

FIFA World Cup qualifiers:
Host: Russia
North America: United States, Mexico, Costa Rica.
South America: Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Uruguay.
Europe: France, Portugal, Germany, Wales, Poland, England, Spain, Belgium, Croatia, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Denmark.
Africa: Tunisia, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Ghana
Asia: Australia, Japan, South Korea, Iran and Uzbekistan
Oceania: none

I don't think the bigger teams will let another smaller team win it. Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea are favorites, but Arsenal and Tottenham will be in there aswell.

Newcastle, Aston Villa and QPR will go up from the Championship. Reading, Derby and Norwich will be up there too.

I don't care too much about League 1, I just hope Port Vale makes their mark.

Plymouth to be promoted from League 2.

Bundesliga: Bayern, but I don't think Dortmund will be far behind.
La Liga: Real Madrid will be in for a good season once again, depends on who Barcelona keeps and who leaves.
Serie A: Juventus, but I hope Roma makes a great impression and challenges them to the end.
Ligue 1: PSG.
Eredivisie: Feyenoord, let's hope so.
Primeira Liga: I want Sporting to win, but I think Benfica will be too strong.

I think Man City will finally win the Champions League. I hope not, but I'm afraid it'll happen.

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

I'm really interested to see how Leicester perform. Seems like Vardy is staying. A lot hinges on whether they can keep hold of Mahrez and Kante, but even if they only lose one of those two I can see them finishing top 8 minimum.

The title race is an interesting one too. New managers at City, Chelsea and United mean that the serious title challengers all come with the question mark of how quickly they can settle under new direction. Arsenal are Arsenal: I won't consider them title challengers until they win it, but they're pretty much certainties for a top 4 spot. Liverpool are an interesting one. No European football means we have significantly less games to play this season (last time that happened we challenged for the title), plus Klopp has had a full pre-season with his squad and has been able to sell players he doesn't want and buy players he does. Obviously as a supporter I'm biased, but I think we've got as good a chance as any team at winning the league.

Predictions:

1. Man City
2. Liverpool
3. Arsenal
4. Man Utd
5. Chelsea
6. Tottenham
7. Leicester

Although predictions mean nothing anymore. Anything can happen.

Honestly I hope we can finally expose Guardiola. I think he's a great manager, but he's only managed rich clubs filled with world-class players up until now. Man City is a different sort of deal even if everything still applies (rich club with amazing players), the league is very different from La Liga and Bundesliga.

As you can see, I'm not a huge fan of Guardiola.

Yeah, Leicester and the Euros proved how predicting is becoming impossible.

I'm always optimistic with West Ham, but in all seriousness the league will probably go to one of the Manchesters I think. Both new managers and if one of them works out, they can be very strong.

This year's PL is extra unpredictable. Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea have had a chance every year. Since last year you can add Leicester and Spurs to that. Liverpool are looking better than usual. And Leicester winning has of course opened the door to the championship for clubs like West Ham and Everton.

Any of those 8 clubs could end up anywhere in the top 8. I honestly don't know anymore.

I think Leicester will fall through this season. Ranieri has a track-record of failing in second and third seasons and the tight schedule with the Champions League might prove too much for them. I don't think they'll finish within top7.

Yeah I don't think they have the depth to do as well this season.

I dunno. They've added without selling so far. I do think they'll 'come back down to Earth', but for me that's in the 6-10 range.

Yeah, my entire 10-15th place could be flipped around and it would still make sense.
