Can Majin Buu's regeneration fail?

I once read on the DBZ wiki that if Buu is worn out enough in battle, his regeneration abilities will eventually start to fail him. However, I don't ever remember this happening at any point in the anime/manga. Does anyone know if this is true or not, and if so, at what point during the storyline did this happen?

The only time in the storyline that I know of that comes close to suggest this is late during his fight with Vegito. Vegito blows him apart and he regenerates, but then forgets to regenerate in his abdomen area until Vegito says something about it to him.
I'm getting very angry with you, and for me that is a very bad thing, so watch yourself.

It's never happened. Boo can't even lose stamina unless he's fighting another Boo (don't ask me how that works). So I guess there's a chance if Kid Boo had lowered Fat Boo's power enough, and then blasted a hole in him, that he may not have been able to regenerate it.

I don't know, when he got exetremely angry and try to distort the dimensions (he did this immediately after he had entered Vegito's body but couldn't control him) and Vegito managed to stomp him, he seemed a bit winded. Though this may not have been in the manga.

Start watching at 26:10. Buu inhales and exhales deeply like he's a bit tired.

That wasn't in the manga. I don't think any of Boo's massive hissy fit was in the manga, nor any indication he was "becoming more human" by absorbing Gohan and the others.

I seem to recall it being implied that Boo's regeneration was starting to fail in his fight with Vegetto, although, that might be an anime only thing.

This is the page in question from the Vegito fight.

It does seem like he's straining more than usual to restore his head antenna. Of course, that could just be quivering uncontrollable rage on his part.

I don't think so unless he's fighting a stronger opponent than him. Fat Boo got wrecked by Kid Boo and he was unconscious for the rest of that whole battle. Indicating that his transformation either doesn't work or works a lot slower depending on the gap between him and his adversary.

Boo losing stamina against Vegetto is definitely an anime thing. In the manga, it's pretty much stated that the only way for him to lose stamina is to fight another Boo. Again like Clearin said, don't ask how that works.

We see this constantly in the series.

Vegeta wails on Fat Boo and Boo comes back just as good as a new to the point where Vegeta wonders if he's immortal.

Gotenks smacks Boo into the planet and he comes out with almost no damage but the heavy beating on his ego as Piccolo says it.

Then Super Boo takes a massive beating from Gotenks and still reforms good as new in the span of a few seconds.

Even against Vegetto in the manga, Boo regenerates with the same ease as before. His body is just treated as something special that only he himself can effect. His body is so unnatural that it can even break the magic of the Potara.

Buu's regeneration stems from Majin magic. Because Pure Buu uses Majin magic as well, he can (apparently) nullify the underlying Majin magic of Good Buu's regeneration.

Besides that, Buu's regeneration is infallible against approximately equal opponents.
We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.
