Chi Chi's b*** status was cemented the moment she ignored the pain Goku was in after the Saiyan battle, blamed everything that happened to Gohan on him (Goku had absolutely no control of Gohan's participation in the Saiyan battle, nor his training with Piccolo) and said she didn't care about the Earth.
Forgot about that, that was a b*** move.

The others didn't really disagree with her on that (she was mad about Gohan being involved in the fight with Vegeta) and Gohan was naked, bloodily-battered, and unconscious on top of being kidnapped by a wild man for a whole year so it's reasonable to assume he was traumatized by the whole ordeal.... but Dragon Ball or the fandom don't give a s*** about mothers so f*** that.

That's the way Chi Chi has always acted. It is stupid that she's bothering with Goten I always figured she didn't care since nothing was pushed in DBZ.

Chi-Chi never really tried to make Goku stop training prior to Super nor has she shown disdain to martial arts to the point of outright banning it in the family. You definitely can't see the Chi-Chi in Super is the same as the one in the 23rd Budokai where she was fully supportive of Goku's martial arts abilities.

Is this a shock to anyone? About the only female character that remains written well is Bulma and that's because she has somehow managed to stay fairly important to the plot even as the tone shifted after the Piccolo Jr saga.

Chi-Chi is such a terribly written character. It would have been awesome if she was a relevant martial artist in the series; she had the look and decent skills at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. But after that, they turned her into the stereotypical bitchy housewife and overprotective mom. Lame af.
To be fair ChiChi wasn't that much better either when she was a kid.
Yeah, but one would think she'd eventually mature once she'd grow up. An annoying brat with zero depth remaining an annoying brat with zero depth as an adult is just boring.
