First up for this thread is Bruce, the antagonist from the original movie. Bruce, like all of the primary sharks in this franchise, is a great white shark, and a phenomenal specimen at that. Bruce first made his presence known by chowing down on Christine Watkins in the opening sequence. He would then make sporadic appearances throughout the movie, most of the time picking off another unlucky beach-goer (including one poor dog), before being pursued by Quint, Brody, and Cooper in the Orca. He ultimately met his end when Brody shot an oxygen tank lodged in his mouth, causing him to explode on impact. Despite not being the largest shark to be seen in the franchise or even the one to do the most damage, Bruce is undoubtedly the most popular and iconic shark of the lot.

SIZE

Originally estimated by Cooper to be 20 feet (6 meters) long, Quint quickly outdid that by declaring him to be a solid 25 footer (7.62 meters) and 3 tons (6,000 pounds).

Pictures for an idea of his size

STRENGTH

Pulled a dock apart with ease

Basically ate a grown man whole, save for one leg

Bashed a hole straight through Ben Gardner's boat

Bit through piano wire, which is made from tempered high-carbon steel

Turned the Orca around and pulled it at incredible speed

Able to stay submerged with 3 flotation barrels tagged to it

Destroyed Cooper's shark cage relatively easily

Nearly sank the Orca by jumping onto it

DURABILIY

Shot by Quint's Greener Light Harpoon Gun

Shot again by another harpoon

Shot on top of the head by Brody's Smith & Wesson Model 15

Took a prolonged stab to the side of the mouth by Quint's machete

Took multiple stabbings to the snout by a lance

Coming 4 years after Bruce's annihilation is Brucette, the antagonist from Jaws 2. Brucette is immediately recognizable by the burns along the right side of her face. According to the novelization of the film, she is Bruce's mate, and was able to give birth to one pup before being killed (which turned out to be the shark from Jaws: The Revenge, again, according to the novel). She's also shown to be the most sadistic shark in the franchise, seemingly prolonging the suffering of her victims numerous times before killing them.

SIZE

Brucette's size is never specified, so it's safe to assume she is either the same size as Bruce at 25ft or, going by sexual dimorphism, somewhat larger due to being a female.

Devoured Marge whole in one bite

STRENGTH

Busted the side of a speedboat and nearly capsized it

Killed an orca

Rammed a sailboat and pushed it several meters

Capsized a sailboat

Tormented, pushed, and capsized another larger sailboat

Pulled a harbor patrol helicopter into the ocean while it was trying to ascend

Pushed around 4 sailboats tied together

Rammed the sailboats hard enough to lodge one apart

DURABILIY

Survived a gasoline fire with 3rd degree burns to the face

SPEED

Caught up to a wakeboarder going at least 15MPH (great whites can reach 25MPH)

Jaws 3 (AKA Jaws: 3D) hits some years after Jaws 2, bringing not one shark this time but two — Brucetta and her baby Danny. Brucetta's origin is unclear, as some believe her to be the granddaughter of Bruce, or a separate shark altogether. Despite there being two sharks, there aren't many feats for the big girl and none whatsoever for her kid.

SIZE

While Danny is only about 7-8 feet long being he's only a baby, Brucetta is an unprecedented 35 feet, making her by far the largest shark seen in the franchise to date.

Grabbed FitzRoyce in her mouth with room to spare (doubles as STRENGTH feat)

Holding Fred in her jaws

Brucette stuck in the control room

STRENGTH

Rammed into an underwater tunnel, causing severe water leakage

Crushed FitzRoyce in her mouth without the use of her teeth

Broke open a locked steel gate with the propulsion of her tail movement (also doubles as MISC feat)

Smashed through the glass to the control room

DURABILITY

Easily swam through the bubble screen that deterred normal-sized sharks

MISC

Was able to swim backwards

Jaws 4 (AKA Jaws: The Revenge) came out four years after Jaws 3, and boy, was it something. The shark in the movie has been given the name Vengeance by fans. By novel lore, Vengeance is the son of Bruce and Brucette, being born just moments before Brucette's death, and then being "possessed" by a voodoo priest that had a grudge against Michael (after he'd already swam to the Bahamas, mind you). Vengeance's death in the theatrical cut was him simply being impaled by a boat and bleeding out egregiously, however, audiences disapproved of that ending and it was later changed to Vengeance inexplicably blowing up when he's impaled.

SIZE

Vengeance's size is never specified in the film, but according to the special effects head Henry Miller[1], the fully articulated models were 25 feet, so the same size as Bruce was.

STRENGTH

Bites Sean's arm clean off in one quick swipe

Chews through the rig's wooden siding despite being harmed by it

Tears apart a small submarine

Breaks through the wall of a sunken boat, almost breaking through the steel ladder afterwards

Drags a small tourist plane down into the sea

Propels himself several meters into the air to grab Jake off the boat

DURABILITY

Survives 3 internal shocks from Jake's device

MISC

- Travels from Amity Island (near New York) to the Bahamas—an approximate distance of 1,250 miles—in less than 3 days.

Finds a way into the ship Michael hides in, displaying some level of intelligence

Freaking awesome.
Can't wait for Bruce 2.0. from Jaws 2, always found the second shark to be much scarier than the first, especially with all the burns and scars in its face.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

No worries man, I understand it was hard to find clips or the whole movie to make these gifs, no?

Also, didn't know the shark from JAWS 2 was a female. I thought only the JAWS 3 one was a girl.

Honestly, I was waiting for YIFY to upload the third movie since they had the other three, but they still haven't so I just got tired of putting it off.

It's never said in the movie. I'm just using the information from the novel, which some people don't take as valid for the film.

I meant Yify, the website. I acquired the HD movies from there since I can't be bothered to rip my physical copies.

It only took me about 4 months to do all the films, but it's done. I don't think I missed anything, but if I did, this can always be edited. :gokudance:
