I'd like to use this place as a platform to campaign on the behalf of The Labour Party. As a member of the party it depresses me to see the current divisions going on right now. At a time when we are more divided as a nation than ever having just had the referendum I think it's quite disgraceful that those members would try to oust our leader at this time. Especially since they don't even have a strong replacement for him. This makes us weak. If we are weak then that means even a Conservative Party without a leader can take advantage of the fact that we are divided in this way. I don't want us to be divided, I want us to be strong and united. The majority of the elected members of parliament for the Labour Party believe Jeremy Corbyn to be unelectable. I want them all to be proved wrong. I want The Labour Party to win the next election. So I'm asking that all the Brits on here vote for The Labour Party and by extension Jeremy Corbyn. Lets screw over the Conservatives and show the back stabbers in the Labour Party how wrong they are. Lets reduce the cuts put in place by The Conservative Party, lets finance the NHS in a much more pragmatic way, lets get an education secretary who is actually competent at their job and lets get rid of these silly zero hours contracts. Vote for Labour. Show them they're wrong about Corbyn. |

He wasn't exactly doing that. He was basically trying to say that we shouldn't make assumptions about Jews and Muslims. He just did it in a really careless and thoughtless way so that it looked as though he was associating Isreal with some of the less progressive Muslim states. I admire him for his views on the E.U before his party basically told him to shut up. He's a good old fashioned socialist and unlike a lot of other members of parliament, he shares his actual views on things. Often which conflict with what the still largely centrist Labour party believe in. I think an issue is that many of them became MP's when Tony Blair was popular. They jumped on the bandwagon but didn't get off. So now we have a leftist leader in a party full of what we call Blairights. Centrist career politicians which little to no connection to the working classes and the young people who traditionally support Labour. Another issue is more of a theory of mine. The traditional working classes by today's standards tend to hold more right wing views. So the leftist Labour Party has been losing them to The UK Independence Party. A right of centre party which mostly campaigns for tighter immigration rules. They also got wiped out in Scotland by the Scottish National Party because Scottish Labour was s*** and no longer had any relevance there. At the core of it they'd moved too far to the right and came across as very plastic and opportunistic. That's an issue in a lot of places in England too. I also predict that The Labour Party's incompetence in Wales could lead to them being wiped out there as well. But I'd be ok with this if it meant Plaid Cymru got more seats. Their leader Leanne Wood is a very nice lady. |
