Goku and everyone wouldn't have bodies in otherworld would they? You need a God to do that for you, and with Kami gone, and Kaio presumably not knowing everyone is dead, no ones there to give them one.
Is that how that works? I'm pretty sure you just need to be a good person to keep your body.
From what I understand, you need to have done something selfless to keep your body, and you need to have a reason to keep it. For example, if Bulma died, she likely wouldn't keep her body.
If a fighter dies protecting something larger than themselves, they are allowed to keep it.

It's more than simply "being a good person".

Goku died saving his son, Piccolo died saving Gohan as well as the Earth, Yamcha died trying to protect the Earth, same with Tenshinhan and Chiaotzu, and Krillin died trying to save the galaxy from Freeza.

I guess Roshi's death during the King Piccolo arc could be explained by the fact that Toriyama might not have thought of the the whole "Other World" thing at that time.

So there was something else I didn't mentioned that I just remembered and I can't remember if this was an actual thing or if it was assumed. But didn't they say that no one could be brought back to life after a whole year after their death? So if that's the case, especially with the Namekian Dragon Balls because I doubt there would be a difference, then there would be no point of them tracking down the Namekian Dragon Balls.

Good point, but as far as we know, that rule only applies to Earth Dragonballs.

Not to mention that the modification to Porunga to allow more than one person to be revived per wish seems to have been made after the arrival of the Androids because Dende, who came shortly after the Android arrival, knew nothing about that modification until the Boo arc, seven years later.

So as far as Bulma and Gohan knew (since Trunks was only a baby at that time), one person per wish was the parameters of Porunga's power.

Vegeta
Piccolo
Krillin

That in itself gives Gohan a better shot at winning vs the androids. Piccolo could fuse with Kami ans would then know of the ROSAT as well. Vegeta would mean two ssjs. Krillin is still strongest earthling. Their androids are weaker so they have a shot.

Yamcha, Tien, and Chaiotzu come back a couple months later

Vegeta likely would've been sent to Hell after getting killed by the Androids, and I don't believe the Dragon can retrieve souls from Hell. Or at least, I don't think Shenlong can. I imagine the same rule goes for Porunga because higher world laws trump Dragon ability. I also don't think you keep your body when you go to Hell (in the manga, at least).

So that leaves Piccolo and Krillin, of whom would probably be killed fairly quickly after revival. Piccolo undoubtedly would've been weaker than his Android Arc self, due to him probably not training with Goku.

And as I stated in my original post here, Bulma and Gohan had no idea where New Namek was; and they had no way of contacting Kaiosama for help.
