Ever have those times where for whatever reason you can't stop thinking about something quite meaningless? For me tonight it's the disappointing result of the England game against Iceland. I can't seem to shake it off. All I can think about is how it went so wrong. Round and round in my head it goes. Was it this, was it that? It's not something that matters in anyway but I can't stop thinking about it. |

That depends on what you consider "meaningless." I think about a lot of things that the vast majority of the population wouldn't really care about, like the TV shows I watch, formulating fan theories, anime and manga, or action figures I want to collect. I spend a lot of time thinking about the novel I'm writing, which (while not really meaningless) feels meaningless sometimes because I spend way more time thinking about it than I do actually writing it. I think about "what if" scenarios a lot, but I'm not sure if that's a normal thing or a product of my anxiety. Sometimes they can get quite ridiculous, and I probably waste a lot of time doing that. A lot of my anxious thoughts are pretty meaningless and time consuming. |

I don't really believe in 'meaningless' things. Or at least in this context. If you're thinking about it, it means something to you. That's enough, doesn't matter about how it places in the grand scheme of things. You could probably argue that everything is meaningless in the grand scheme of things, depending how broad that grand scheme is. |

I spend a lot of time contemplating the past, both important and trivial things. A little self reflection is good times, but it's important to now when to stop. When it comes to relative meaningless things, I've actually put in measures. If I spend x amount of time reading this comic, I'll spend the same amount of time reading something more academic in nature. Not that one has to justify reading comics, but it makes me feel better if I do it in a system like this as I waste so much time. |

I'm plagued by the knowledge of my own hideousness. No matter how much I don't want to hear it, there's a voice that seeks to constantly remind me. Beyond that, everything I think about is of paramount importance. |
