Allow me to clarify.. im beginning to dislike ASPECTS of his character. He just seems to be very petty at this point, even annoying because every other episode hes threatening to destroy Earth. While it initially made beerus seem like an ominous threat that could deatroy Earth whenever he wanted, it has become more humorous than serious. Not to mention the fact that the earth was already destroyed by Frieza, so it isnt even a big thing anymore

I get it, hes the god of destruction and everything, but im honestly more annoyed by him at this point than i am interested in seeing him

The main issue with Beerus is that he and Whis constantly sticking around deflates any threat if its weaker than them. But no threat can be stronger than them because then you need to make Goku & Vegeta stronger which isn't allowed.

As for him being petty, I don't mind it. I prefer the fact bribery is the only way to keep this guy in line, he's not their friend, he and Champa see the fighters under them as nothing but disposable pawns and the series has done a good job of emphasizing this point.

He's a terrible person, that's the point.

Beerus is displaying the stock esque personality traits that Toriyama's brand of humour is notorious for. Rather than try to interpret or make a proactive use of his moral ambiguity, which is about the only meaningful trait he has if you ask me, he's merely injected into scenes for the sake of having some unneeded food related antics or to demean the main cast by having them appease Beerus's asinine requests for food and pampering. He hasn't been at the forefront of events since the BoG arc. The Champa arc was more centred around the Universe 6 characters than anything.

Eh, no. I really liked Beerus when he was first revealed, but I don't much care for him anymore. I can't quite pin down what in particular has caused me to lose interest in the character, but it's probably a myriad a factors that include him overstaying his welcome, and the fact he's a bit more of a dick in Super.
EDIT: Oh and constantly scaling him up after we're given an idea of how strong he should be is really annoying too. It's lazy writing.

My Dear Melancholy,

His gags are repetitive.

"Destroy earth.... Unless its food"

"I won't help....nvm food"

It was funny when he first appeared but got old quick.

Beerus should, realistically, be asleep right now. The way Battle of Gods the movie makes it look, he NEEDS to sleep to properly do his job. But now? He's awake all the time.

They should've given him something like the Odin Sleep, a mandatory resting period he needs to do to recharge his power as a way to 1) keep him out of the equation 2) give him a weakness.

The fact that Beers is around so much actually makes him more evil, as it implies he's not a slave to his job and he destroys planets with people on them mostly because he's a spoiled brat who demands to be pampered by the populace until they can no longer do so and then slays them.

He's SUPPOSED to be working more. The Omni-King criticised both him and Champa for not doing their job.

And to be fair we've only seen brief periods of him. In fact this is the first time we've seen him since the U6 tournament ended, right? And it's been less than a day.

The way the movie implied it, their slumber is meant to work like this, not have them work constantly.

The show also does a really poor job of giving you the sense any time has passed so he might as well be f***ing about on Earth every day for all we know.

I'm getting really tired of the whole food thing. It was okay once in a while but so much revolves around food for service.

Yeah, but if he doesn't, what's it matter? Omni-King doesn't seem to really show up all that much, his being at the tournament was pure luck after all. If the restrictions are so lax and the supervision so tame, then Beers really has no reason to be as blatantly destructive as he is(discounting the fact that he's letting himself be bribed out of doing his job)
