Well Akira could easily use Trunks and cells appearence in the present timeline as an excuse for there to be even greater changes in the timeline, allowing Goten to have been concieved before Goku died. it's not impossible, Goku did get sick a lot later in the present timeline than in the future, so any timed events could have been changed. But as said above, by the way he refers to the saiyans and his aura, i doubt it's Goten. It was already said changes Trunks made in the past won't affect his own future, just the main timeline. It was also said spending more than 2 years in the Rosat in a lifetime will cause the entrance to dissapear forever, yet somehow Goku and Vegeta spent three consecutive years in there before the tournament. you're right with what your saying, but super is inconsistant so i wouldn't put it past them.

This, but we can't put anything past anything in this story because Mai being in Trunks's time and being roughly the same age as him makes no sense either. Either way, it's extremely unlikely that Black is Goten. This guy is clearly not Saiyan, because he is stronger than Trunks in Super Saiyan without being Super Saiyan himself. I have a feeling that he's that Kaioshin who's pic was leaked, and is taking on Goku's likeness for a reason that's yet to be revealed. However, just a theory, but I have a feeling that Goku's going to achieve Super Saiyan White while fighting Black. The whole opposite color thing could be a clue. Another clue to Black not being Goten is that Goten is actually closer to two years younger than Trunks than he is to one year younger. Trunks was about a year old when we first see him as a baby, and Chi Chi showed no signs of being pregnant with Goten at that time. I can't remember the exact details, but I also believe Goku died six months prior to the Androids arriving; however, I heard that a guidebook somewhere says that in the manga, the time period was a little different. He died closer to their arrival (like two months or so). Either way, given that information, there's a very narrow window for his conception before Goku's death, and the fact that Gohan never makes any indication of him ever having a brother in the short time that we see him in Trunks's time shoots this theory down. We also see in the preview for the next episode that Black is able to pass between time periods at will, which points to him not being Saiyan or even mortal. Goku and Vegeta were able to spend 3 years because they'd become so powerful that they could create a tear between the dimensions, allowing them to escape back to Earth, like Gotenks and Super Boo could in DBZ. When you're strong enough to rip holes in space-time, a portal connecting both sides and the limitations it provides is completely irrelevant. Chrome Favourite Manga Dragonball	I have a feeling it's something to do with Zamasu, but actually, given the way Black addresses Trunks as "Saiyan" and makes the comment about it being the end of a proud race it wouldn't surprise me at all if this guy was a Tuffle who brought Future Goku's body back to life and somehow possesed/ took over his body.
