I didn't notice a topic for this, so I thought I'd take it upon myself to start one. Holy s***, this game looks awesome! Here's the trailer:

And here's some gameplay:

Crazy Awesome Legend

I don't know if I like the cell shaded or not. I think it would be more impressive if they gave it a less cartoony style. On the other hand it suits a game like Zelda which is very whimsical. I can deal with it I think I'd just prefer another style.

I like everything so far except the gameplay looks unimpressive. I like many of the new items and weapons, the continued stamina bar and the open-world aspect, but they haven't done anything to improve the gameplay afaics. I hope the game can prove me wrong when it is released.

Probably gonna buy a NX for this.

It looks good but it looks like it could easily get a bit bland and/or repetitive, from what I saw.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Apparently it's 12x bigger than Twilight Princess...so what's in the gaps?

Seems like they've evolved the gameplay a bit this time around, some stealth in there and the combat looks a bit more in depth.
Mildly interested, first time in like 2-3 Zelda games.

But yeah I feel like it could get a bit boring, Zelda was always pretty open but never truly expansive aside from Wind Waker which was basically 80% ocean. There needs to be plenty to do or it's gonna get dull.

Gliding looks pretty cool.

Also that magic use looks a LOT like a touchpad sort of thing, could we reasonably assume the NX has one? Or was this just Wii-U footage?

It would be smart of them to do that, here's this pretty average version and then some months before the NX oh look at this muuuuch better version, buy an NX...

Not sure I'll ever get to play this.

It's going to be interesting to see how much better the game will run on the NX and what, if any, limitations the Wii U will have. They already stated that there would be no different in game content between the two systems. I've seen assumptions on the only difference is going to be the quality that the NX will have over the Wii U.

I'm very excited and this game looks like it will be really amazing!

I think it looks awesome and really fun. I just wish there was more than one game to look forward to for the NX. I really want to play the game but does it warrant buying the system for one game? Idk

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

I like how Sony and Microsoft had these big conferences with tons of games, live orchestras, celebrities...

And Nintendo's just like "Hey...wanna buy some Zelda?"

What's up with the weird alien looking things? Seems as though this is wayy in the future wonder what happened previously.

Also what's the gimmicky thing this time? Guess it could be that magic system?
Odd that no special tool was really highlighted.

The "shrine" things, breakable items...stuff like that I guess.

I will wait until I play the game before I give any praise whatsoever. I've been fooled before by games I thought were gonna be amazing, and this just doesn't look amazing so far aside from certain aspects (the open world).

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Apparently the map in this is going to be around 9x as big as Skyrim's map.

Anyone else think that sounds kinda dumb for a Zelda game? It's going to have to be bursting with content to not get dull I didn't expect it to be quite that huge.

It works with games like Skyrim due to the quest hunting nature of the game but Zelda has never really had a lot of that and obviously has no dialogue from Link. Quests in Zelda are most always ultimately just to get unique items like wallet upgrades or whatever. Surely they won't have enough of that to fill such a huge map?

Can only really see it being that big if it's mostly nothingness like how Wind Waker was 90% ocean discounting interiors.
With Wind Waker though sailing was quite a new experience so it wasn't immediately boring and then around when you'd probably be getting tired of it you got the ability to fast travel essentially, so that worked.

I thought they already confirmed this long ago. I think the wildlife will make up for an empty atmosphere and I think there will be quest-based stuff to do (side-stuff ala Majora's Mask).

I don't think they'll disappoint us when they are working on such a massive world.

It was stated that quite a bit was taken out for the demo. There should be towns and other random encounters throughout the world.

Potentially delayed?!?!?!?!?!

http://nintendoeverything.com/rumor-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-wont-be-releasing-in-march/

Many have hoped – and some have assumed – that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be out right alongside Switch next March. Unfortunately, that may not be the case.

Emily Rogers, who has a fairly solid track record with Switch rumors, writes in a new blog post today that the new Zelda title won’t be ready for March. Rogers heard in September “that the localization for the game was becoming more work than anyone had anticipated” due to “all of the game’s text, NPCs, quests, etc.” She then received word recently that the localization was still not going as smoothly Nintendo had hoped, with one source stating that it’s very ambitious.

Additional sources have since reached out to Rogers this month, indicating that localization won’t be done until the end of December. Zelda: Breath of the Wild will then need at least four-to-six months of testing. Nintendo wants it to be as bug free as it can be, and with its huge scope, lots of testing is involved. Rogers writes that Breath of the Wild is unlikely to drop in March, with Summer 2017 being a more realistic possibility.

Separately from release date talk, Rogers is also hearing that the game is running more smoothly on Switch than Wii U. The final version will also apparently be a bit more difficult compared to the E3 demo. Rogers says that the vertical slice was “toned down” slightly “because they wanted journalists and press members at E3 to have fun exploring.”
