Cause I looked into the manga and even then they gave the thumbs up to each other, though the laughing bit was added to the anime.

It's kind of like how Vegeta said he'd never fight again at the end of the Cell Games. DBZ is a lot more realistic than most anime in that regard, characters will say or do things based on the heat of the moment (mostly Vegeta to be fair) that doesn't necessarily lead to instant change in character. Granted Goku and Vegeta's relationship does seem to have regressed a little too much, but I don't think that a single thumbs up during an extremely happy moment after a day like that should be considered to be their relationship status for the entire future after that.

What Browser do you use? Google Chrome	They just beat some creature that was almost unbeatable, as he would regenerate all of the time. I would be hugging my worst enemy if we pulled that off.

The end of the Buu Saga was pretty much the end of their rivalry, somewhat. But Dragon Ball Super brought back the way they treated each other again.
