I think it's just the lighting.^ As for the trailer, it honestly got me a little hyped, and I didn't think I could have that emotion when it came to Super. Live thoughts while watching: - Does this happen relatively soon after Trunks returns to the future? Because Bulma doesn't look a day older than she did in her previous future appearance, and if this is supposed to be many years later, you'd think she'd look at least a little haggard. Mai could be feasibly young if this is the case. - Where are Pilaf and Shu? Did Mai abandon them? DID BLACK KILL SHU AND NOW SHE WANTS TO AVENGE HIM?!?! - Are they going to do with Black Goku what they did with the androids the last time, keep them in shadowy monster form until it's later revealed what they really look like? I don't think that works a second time around. - On that note, this "Black" thing looks like a force of nature, and is just copying Goku's form because he was the strongest or something. That's sort of what I got out of it. But then, Trunks should be way stronger than the Goku from his past by this point, so if "Black" is just a symbiote or parasite type thing, it shouldn't be any match for Trunks. Maybe "Black" is a universe hopper and just so happened to gleam Godku from our universe, then went to Trunks' universe...or something. I don't know, this is taking too much thought. - Dare I say, but that animation was actually fairly good. It looked a lot more crisp than what I've seen of Super thus far.

The fact that Trunks is crying in the NEP suggests that something happens but, at the same time, I could easily see this as being a fake-out.

Though, it would require him to stay in the altered timeline, imo. If Bulma isn't there then, apart from Mai, he'd be all alone.

She's got the markers for it; she's close to the main character, beloved by the main character but not a main or really enormously important character to the plot, and she's not powerful. I do want to note that this could just be a dream sequence too. They did something similar with Cell

That way we are nearly guarenteed Goku wont be the one saving the day and at the very least forces a lot of other characters to be utilised during the arc

Like I've heard better sound effects from N64 games. Idk something about it makes my nose running and ears shrink. Edit: Rewatching it and the music didn't helped lol.
