Crazy Awesome Legend

Sometimes I get this feeling like the one I'm having today like I've missed several chances to build a relationship with people and it makes me feel depressed. I'm 26 years old and all the people I've been interested in have now moved on. Of course I still have decades to meet someone else and I probably will. Yet it still bothers me that I could be in a really happy relationship right now had I not been the way I was with people. AKA a total Jeremy Hunt. It's not rational but it's making me depressed anyway. Meh, my brain chemistry is probably just f***ed up. Too much serotonin or something. |

I get this feeling fairly often, but more in a general sense e.g. missed opportunities in life/wasting my life away, missing out on relationships, so I can relate to this a lot. Not really sure what to say other than that like you said, there's still plenty of time to meet someone. Some people don't meet the person they spend their life with (or a large chunk of their life) way into their late-30s, 40s, and probably some in their 50s and beyond. Or you could meet someone within a year. You never know when life-changing events will happen, you just have to live your life as best you can until they do. If you feel like you aren't meeting enough new people, then get out and meet new people (which from the sounds of things you're doing, so that's good). That being said, I don't take my own advice where that's concerned, so I'm probably not in the best place to give it. |

"Then you've got the chance to do better next time." "Next time?" "Course. Doing better next time. That's what life is." | |
