But he's with mai...? I don't get it. Trunks and Mai had a relationship in the current timeline. They're separate. He shouldn't be the current kid trunks we see but in the future. Honestly I like Mai, but considering this is DBS I'm not holding my breath on anything.

Also confirmation that he never got past Super Saiyan, though we can't be sure how strong he actually is at the moment. As for Mai, it'd be hilarious if Pilaf and his gang somehow got to Namek just to mess up and make the youth wish at some point in the original timeline.

Posts: 39,342 Group: Legend Member #5,088 Joined: August 1, 2010 Gender Not Specified Country Chile	Toei has a chance to mess up so many things here. - Trunks' personality. - Trunks' power (which I'm certain they'll screw up because look at the rest of Super) - Trunks' relationships with other characters - Mai (I like the character, mind you) - Other characters' interactions with Trunks But I'm glad to see the real OG Trunks back, even if him being with Mai romantically (if that's where they're going with it) doesn't make much sense from the info we knew back in the day.

They have neglected to tell us why the Pilaf gang are children, and the issue is only compounded by Pilaf and the gang being surprised that Shenlong can grant three wishes. If the Pilaf gang made the wish before Dende took over, that'd mean they became babies, and I wonder then how they survived. Were they taken to a foster home?

However if this is the old Future Trunks then they better explain how she got young. But if this is a new Future Trunks, which probably seems most likely right now, then everything will make sense.

There was a 30 year age difference and the two had zero connections to each other. Pilaf's gang turning into children was nothing more than a plot device for Mai to become Trunks' girlfriend; turning her into a child just so she could be his girlfriend is completely contrived. Worst pairing ever. Trunks x Marron and Yamcha x Mai would have been better than this nonsense. And there's no logical reason for Mai to still be young in Future Trunks' timeline.; she should be old. I have zero expectations for this arc. And this whole arc sounds like a rehash of the cyborgs arc; Future Trunks fights strong villain(s) in the future, his timeline gets ruined and then he travels in time to get the Present timeline Z Fighters' help. The Androids still ravaged his world, so even if it's somehow a different Future Trunks, Mai being there would still present the exact same problem as her being in the timeline of the Trunks we know.
