Crazy Awesome Legend

Crumpets and English muffins are two entirely different baked goods. The only thing they have in common is that both are properly made on a griddle, bakestone, or other heated surface.

After baking, muffins are solid on both sides.

Crumpets are solid on only one side; the bottom. The surface of the top side is broken up by many popped bubbles which make interior micro-caverns for butter to melt into.
