Albania was better than I expected. With 10 men they had the better chances. It always disappoints me so much how a team can score early and then just stop trying altogether.

Early goal from Bale is good for Wales, but can they keep it up? My prediction was 1-0 at first, but I didn't expect a goal that early.

That was a good game but damn the officials were bad. They couldn't even get the number on the sub board right. Well done Wales, too bad they're in the same group as England.

Nice win there for Wales. Makes me very confident for the United Kingdom this tournament. Would be cool if all 3 made it to the Round of 16. Wales is highly likely to get there now. I'm just fearing for Northern Ireland

Why is it wrong to support Russia?

Edit:- Nevermind, I just read up about what happened at the end of the game.

Spain is my pick to win Euros. Their midfield is amazing and their defense is too if De Gea is in goal. Im assuming Pedro, Morata, and David Silva will play up top. Pedro and Morata will have plenty of chances to score with Iniesta, Fabregas, and Koke in midfield.

I could say the same for England supporters tbh.

England keep finding new ways to disappoint me, it's amazing. I was fully ready for us to either draw or lose this game, as is tradition. Even as we were playing well and restricting Russia, I was prepared for it. We scored but I didn't think it would last. But then, as we got in to added time in the lead and Russia not looking strong on the attack, I actually believed we would win it. About 30 seconds later we conceded.

I don't understand some of the tactical decisions Hodgson made. Why have Kane taking corners? Surely you want your best finisher, and one of your tallest players, in the box for a corner. And how can he justify not making a substitution earlier when we were crying out for a shake-up up top? I know we eventually got a goal, but it was from a free-kick, not a chance created from open play. And then we go 1-nil up and he treats it like a result we should be more than happy to get, bringing off Rooney and setting the team up to squeeze out a narrow victory.

But yeah, same old England, always disappointing.

In all instances yesterday the english supporters were provoked. Now, I'm not saying none of it is their fault and they are ridden of it, but the russians are clearly the instigators here storming the England side of the stadium and trampling women and children.

From what I hear in the media it's the russians and local french hooligans that provoked the supporters of the other teams.

UEFA only charging Russia and not England should be an indicator of how things went down. Like Emmeth said, the English fans involved aren't entirely blameless, but it sounds like the vast majority of instances were English fans being targeted.

Should have brought Vardy on for Kane after the goal, Russia were forced to press and his pace would have been perfect for that situation, especially as the likes of Sterling and Walker were getting tired. I don't know why Rooney was the one to go off when he decided to try to see out the game as well. This is a young team that hasn't played together much, surely you want your most experienced player and captain to be out there in that situation? I don't know, it's very typical of Hodgson this.

And yeah, still don't get Kane on corners either. Surely one of Lallana, Sterling or even Rooney could take them. It's not just that he's a striker who should be in the area for set pieces but Kane isn't even very good at them.
