It has a genuine shot at being the largest margin of victory in the history of the tournament. 6-1 is the record. I could easily see this being 6-0 minimum.

Sad to see Italy go out when they are much more deserving of being in the final than Portugal. That penalty shootout was dreadful last night, particularly from the two Man Utd players representing Italy and Germany...

Iceland are feeling reality catch up to them tonight. France have clearly learned from England's mistakes in this match and have fully prepared themselves for anything Iceland might try to do. They haven't allowed Iceland to get into the game at all and the weather conditions aren't suited to Iceland either. The rain means that the ball is more slippery so they can't take long throw-ins very easily which was one of their main offensive threats and they just don't have the quality in midfield to combat the France team. Also unlike England, France aren't likely to feel the fear of losing to them as they have the host nation behind them and they are much more up for it.

Just not Wales night. On another day they would have won that easily.

They really missed Ramsey. They did great to get to the semis. Obviously when you get that far it'll sting not to get to the final, but they should be proud (and I'm sure they are).

Looking forward to Germany/France, although that probably means it'll be cagey 0-0 that'll go to penalties.

I've gotta be honest, I'm glad Wales are out because finally they'll shut up about it.

MAKE IT STOP PEL, PLEASE MAKE THEM STOP

So anybody got predictions for tonight's match?

I have a feeling Germany might win on penalties.

I think that France's superior forwards will outscore Germany. I also think Germany has the weaker defence of the two. So 3-2 to France.

Final predictions? I think Portugal. Solely because I think Ronaldo just won't want to lose since this is probably his last shot at winning something internationally. This is probably the last tournament where he'll be good enough to drag Portugal to the championship.

I think they've used up all their good luck and France's superior quality will prevail.

3-1 to France.

Well that was typical. I wonder if anyone actually put money on Eder scoring the winning goal?

One of the most boring football tournaments in recent times.

I honestly believe that it is because of the additional teams. I think the extra games diluted the tournament with crappier teams, causing crappier matches to be played.

Yeah, it was pretty lacklustre. The final was a really apt summation of the tournament: boring, but with a great goal.
