Italy have been amazing tonight. Question is, can they do it again? Have to think if they beat Germany then they should have no issues winning the whole thing.

Yeah, they played brilliantly. Such a solid team; they work hard together, keep a good shape the whole game and attack well.

I went to the shops and figured I wouldn't miss much if I didn't get back in time. Got back with 8 minutes played and it's 1-1. Then Hart continued to be his overrated self and make his umpteenth error of the tournament.

I don't know why it's being treated by the commentators as if it's some upset beyond belief. At one point they compared it to England being 1 down against San Marino. Iceland are obviously underdogs and their small population makes them a surprising story, but they're actually a decent team. Comparing them to San Marino is disrespectful.

And actually England have been dominating the game. It's just that England made two defensive errors and they were made to pay for them. Clinical from Iceland.

"It's hard to think of anything as humbling as this defeat in living memory." Really commentator? Hyperbole much?

Congrats to Iceland. They deserved it over England.

It's difficult not to be quite annoyed at the coaching staff. Every game they've started the wrong team, used the wrong tactics, played outdated football, put possession above attacking and gone with blind faith instead of doing what works. I mean as an example of that, Sterling's done nothing all season but oh he just needs more confidence. That's why he sucks. Not because he's weak as s*** and drops like a stone at every challenge.

Of course much blame goes to the players as well. Supposed to be world class and they can barely even score from open play in four games. Doesn't help that the team has too many Tottenham players in it.

After all these years we finally did it.. We finally beat Spain. We have a good history against Germany but that doesn't mean anything right, Germany has the best team in the world.

Btw hey guys :)

It could be argued that Italy are the favourites now, Conte is a brilliant manager.

Sorry to the English on here. I usually end up supporting England and the other British teams (+the republic) as Wales never qualifying so I was hoping England would advance. Iceland have done incredibly well, and I couldn't be sad to see them progress. Fingers crossed the fairytale continues.

Seems pretty fair, although I'd put Portugal just behind Belgium purely because having Ronaldo has to mean something.
