Akira considered making Piccolo fight Goku, but changed it to Vegeta via Babidi's vibe. So at the very least I see Piccolo probably rivaling Super Saiyan Goku to up to Super Saiyan 2 ranking. You could argue his boosts are mostly frm his Fusion (Nail & Kami Sama) Trainings have contributed very little to Piccolo. Ex: his training prior to Veggie/Nappa's arrival, King Kai training, 3 years training prior to Androids arrival Most of them failed doing what Nail & Kami Sama Fusion did Regardless, I'd say Mystic Piccolo would rival Super Perfect Cell at max. Dats being generous Intead of giving Piccolo Mystic, I'd suggest Fusion with every Fighting Type Namekian. Dat'll boost him significantly

Dat'll boost him significantly I feel ya but I was looking at like Babidi just unleashes all your potential, but Elder Kaioshin unleashes that and more. And if Akira wanted to have Piccolo fight Goku he have to at least be on Super Saiyan Goku's level with Babidi and higher with Elder Kaioshin.

Nothin Favourite Manga Nothin	No smoke without fire At least dats what occurs to me when Piccolo (Toriyama's fav character next to Goku) losing his relevance ever since his imposing Kammicollo/Nameless Namekian moment to gain relevance once again in Boo Arc with Majin Piccolo avatar Ofc, its never officially proven. But when you think about it, makes perfect sense Gohan slacked in his training. While Piccolo (instead of Veggie) gets Majin boost & turns on Gohan Reason? His dignity as Sensei has been tarnished when Gohan surpassed him as mere kid back then at Cell Games. Repetition of what Majin Vegeta did. KO Gohan & faces Boo alone. Sacrifices himself & its revealed that Piccolo's agenda the whole time was to "teach" Gohan the hard way of not slacking in his training as new threats will always be there & as its protector, Gohan has to keep himself at the top of the game ALWAYS Not such a bad fanfic eh?
