This may seem like a random question, however in a class of mine we discussed various body weights and types. The topic had me curious about other's preferences (because I am a nosey little rat) so I thought I'd make a topic here. I'll put it simply and ask: Do you prefer a partner whose body is slightly below the average weight, average weight or slightly over average? Not much to the question, I know. As for myself, I prefer men who are a little over average. I can't find skinny men attractive, for some reason... Perhaps it's because I like the idea of muscle/meat on some o' those bones. But don't get my preference confused with those no-neck overweight people, as that is not what I mean in the slightest! My own body is slightly below average, not to the point of seeing my bones popping outta my skin though. |

Below average, especially in America. I like meat if it's lean muscle, not jiggly fat. |

Anything between below and above average I'm alright with, that's the okay range to me. I'm not a fan of the extremes. I wouldn't want a girl that looks like a skeleton or one that's really obese. Would make me feel like I'd failed to look out for them in a way. That said my girlfriend is really quite skinny in some parts, to the point where she got bullied for being anorexic in school(she wasn't) but that's mostly poor nutrition and depression. Most of her weight went to her butt and well...I don't mind at all. People seem to focus too much on what's deemed as "perfection", I can only really see validity in that if you fall in to that classification, having put in the work to attain and maintain it. |

Oh definitely. I don't mind a little fat, but mainly muscle. I know the feeling. I know quite a few guys who are actually skinnier than me (and I weigh about 115 lbs) and they're praised for it because they're athletic, however I myself (who is not known for playing sports) have been accused of anorexia and it annoys me a lot. I eat whenever I want to eat, though my diet has changed over the past two or more years so that's part of why I remain thin. Plus I started to exercise and work out seriously about a year or so ago, all because I wanted to gain some muscle on my bones. I was thin then and I still am now, just more muscle-y because of my exercise habits. |

Yeah, most of my woman's weight is in her legs and butt, which is fine by me. Cardio and squats will do a woman good. I'm not a fan of disproportionate bodies in general. If you look like the shape of a strawberry or a misshapen potato, it's a turn off. The legs have to match up with the midsection and that has to match up with the upper body. |

I like quite wide hips but I like women to generally be in good shape. Pot bellies aren't attractive. |

Well, my nosey little rat, I prefer women who are svelte, so below average I guess. The last person I was really in to is really slim to the point where it isn't attractive, but her face more than makes up for it. I don't mind women who have a bit of meat, but, again, the face needs to make up for it.

I'm with Steve, anything between a little below average and a little above average is what I like, though average is perfect for me! |

Depends on what is considered average. Physically fit women are most attractive to me and on average there are more women in this area who focus on fitness and health than they do on overeating and being obese monstrosities. So I'd say average. |

The average weight for women in America is 166 pounds apparently (at least as of 2010), which for me is way too much. A woman at 5'5" that's fit and works out shouldn't even be that heavy unless she's actually trying to pack on muscle for a competition or something. I like my fit girls between 120-140. |
