How come there is so many Christian churches

The Catholic church is understandable, but there are so many Christians;

1. Church of Christ.
2. Church of God world mission society.
3. Orthodox.
4. others.

If the bible is the word of God to Moses, why are there so many different types of Christianity?

Because there are different ways to interpret it and different ways to understand Christ. Protestants, for instance, don't think that the saints should be part of Church proceedings. Also, some of it is due to geographical separation causing evolution of religion in different ways.

BTW, the Bible is not the word of God to Moses. If it was, then Jesus wouldn't be a part of it

Put ten people in a room and they will generate 100 opinions on any given subject.

Which gets worse with politics, religion, and family matters.

There have always been disagreements in regards to Christianity. It makes you realize how silly religion actually is. There's only one "right" path, yet there are thousands that exist and no real way of knowing which path is actually "true."

All baptists could burn in hell for all we know. Maybe the Amish have been right all along.

Is there a way to find out which is the correct teachings?

@People who are religious.

I'm not religious, but I would like to learn trying to understand why people have so much faith in Jesus.

That is the thing: how do you determine "the right path"? Christianity has undergone several dozen (if not hundreds) of schisms where somebody eventually said: "Screw that noise! You got it all wrong! THIS is what Jesus meant and THIS is what his teachings want us to do!"

When you make a basis of thought on stories that were translated several times over, things get lost in translation. Which means you may very well have missed the point.

I suppose you could argue it is the first variant of Christianity, the type that was born DIRECTLY from Jesus himself. But do not mistake that variant for the type that we acknowledge as the oldest known (Catholicism). Catholics fought several hundred years after Jesus death over which gospels were canon at all. And men decided from there what made sense in their collective eyes and what did not.

But if they disregarded gospels which were in fact the actual truth, can you call it the one true path?

From there you are gonna get into a kettle of fish you may not want to approach in religious company.

Do some research on the books of the bible that weren't even included in the final product. Now that's some interesting stuff.

Religion is man-made. 'nuff said.

All those churches are corrupt I believe. Most, if not all, barely study the bible diligently. They simply pick and choose which verses align with their theology. The only real way to understand it is to read it inside and out, and have personal guidance along the way.

@lazerbem where did you get that last part from?

If I'm not mistaken, Moses was before Jesus. Therefore, if given to Moses, Jesus wouldn't be in it.

@SSj4 Gotenks
You could study theology if you're interested.

Well it's pretty hard to make Christian synagogues and mosques so I guess churches are the next best option

What made you come to the conclusion that Christianity is man-made?

Men wrote the bible. Regardless of whether or not it holds the actual word of God, a man put pen to paper to make it exist in the first place. The bible doesn't have HALF of all the gospels ever made within it.

Well, if the men did so with guidance from God, calling it simply manmade is a bit of a misnomer.

You should tell me more about the omitted books.

If I had such info onhand I would. Unfortunately (and despite evidence to the contrary) that sort of thing is a little out of my wheelhouse.
