Facing Off At Last: Monaka vs Son Goku?! Summary: Coming Soon! That was a fun episode I suppose, but Jesus Christ, Chaozu shouldn't be able to force Goku to struggle getting out of his psychokinesis. He couldn't do s*** to Nappa, so there's no way he's holding back Goku. Also, why is Goku fighting in base, when he believes Monaka is stronger than Hit? The writers don't seem to put an ounce of thought into these things.

It was a generic comedic/light-hearted episode. All the pawns and/or instruments played their parts well till Goku Arrived. The animation was not bad either. The episode picks up after Goku, Beerus and whis arrives. Before that it's just standard generic interactions and conversations between pawns. Although, I guess I have to wait till the Sub version comes out to analyze the episode as a whole in a more concise manner. I am going to Green 1. I can't get any useful translations here.

Also, this episode is clearly filler and seems like the next is too. Also, did Beerus just hit on Chi-Chi?

They're making Goku out to be way too stupid. He should know by now Monaka's weak; Goku's never been one to overestimate his opponents. Whis is definitely stronger, if for some reason Beerus isn't, which in and of itself would be incredibly stupid with what's implied in the Champa arc. Goku still has Hit to use as motivation. He has the prospect of fighters from every universe to excite him. And you know what? He's f***ing Goku! When has he ever needed motivation to improve? Goku is self-motivated, god dammit! Ugh, Super is getting really irritating.

He has Hit to motivate him now, so Whis claiming Monaka is necessary motivation is just dumb, it's especially dumb when you consider Beerus is still around to motivate him. Beerus should be the goal he's working toward. And you know what? Say Beerus wasn't a reasonable motivator for whatever reason. There are fighters from 10 other universes that Goku has to look forward to. I'm aware that knowing of strong opponents motivates Goku further, but as I said, he has the necessary motivation. Monaka is unnecessary, and the emphasis on his importance just tells me that the writers aren't thinking this s* through, which is unsurprising at this point, I suppose.
