https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/one-person-shot-at-montgomery-mall-in-bethesda-police-say/2016/05/06/f510d2aa-139f-11e6-81b4-581a5c4c42df_story.html So a (now former) DHS agent decided he was going to go on a shooting spree after murdering his wife. Supposedly he was suspended from DHS over a restraining order and had all of his guns taken away. Still didn't stop him from going and killing 1 random person and mortally wounding 2 others. How can they expect us to trust our government as the only people with guns when there's wackjobs like this that they employ? How many of them are ticking timebombs waiting to blow? This also happened pretty close to me, my father actually works about 5 blocks away from the Montgomery Mall. Maryland also has tight gun control legislation as well, so no civilian would have been able to shoot him to stop either, and it took 2 days for the Feds and police to actually catch up to him. Glad I don't live in Maryland. I feel sorry for his victims but at the same time I'm relieved my father wasn't one of them. |

These things can happen to anyone, anywhere. There was a case many years ago in the north of England where a man lost his mind and shot his family before taking his own life later that day. I just hope it never happens to me. |

Quite a few are, we usually get a mass shooting every two months or so it seems. Not counting shooting deaths that happen what seems like almost every day. |

Actually last year there was a mass shooting there for almost every day of the year, a mass shooting officially is at least 4 injured or killed victims I think. http://www.gunviolencearchive.org/reports/mass-shootings/2015 |
