Are there any cartoons for teens+?

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Putting this here just to save clutter in the TV section.

By this I mean western cartoons aimed at teenagers or older, in a similar fashion to anime.

Do we have an equivalent? Basically all I can think of are the D.C animated movies but I mean an actual TV series mostly.
Avatar I guess? Though that's fairly kid friendly compared to something like Ajin so far as I know.

Tis a shame we mostly just get usually badly dubbed anime or am I missing something?

Eh I'd say those are more for adults really plus they're all comedy.

Why can't we get some cool psychological s*** or even horror? The well is pretty dry here, unless you want comedy.

Rocko's Modern Life (I haven't ever watched this, but I heard that there are loads of innudenos & stuff in there & Rocko even apparently worked as a sex-phone-caller thing)

ren & stimpy (i didn't watch this either, but it's apparently quite brutal)

Based on experience, I'd say King of the Hill is a much more toned-down cartoon for the teenagers compared to South Park, Family Guy, or The Simpsons.

There's enough anime out there with western appeal and great English dubs. As long as it's accessible, where the series was made shouldn't matter much.

You said teenagers and up.

But yeah, I tried to find some more serious ones, but there don't seem to be any.

Gargoyles is probably the most mature out of the serious western cartoons.

The only other one I can think of is Superman: The Animated Series. Oh, you think it's bright and colourful and mainly for children? Watch some of the episodes. They get pretty freaking dark. Also Spectacular Spider-Man is pretty epic, despite having not as many episodes as it should. And if you want to watch a longer show, watch Spider-Man: The Animated Series, it's actually pretty good looking back. Or you know, you could go with the 90s classic Batman: The Animated Series. Or better, X-Men: The Animated Series. Or Hell, BETTER even, X-Men Evolution.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Out of all the weird western cartoons, only one of them really stands out for its weirdness.

It's basically Looney Tunes on drugs. LOTS of drugs.

Also, any of the DCAU shows are for teens and above.
They're all pretty awesome.

Or even Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Well if you want an adult type of cartoon especially made by west then you pretty much limited to comedic/dark humor type of cartoons like South Park,Archer, Family guy etc. Really, your only option for an adult/teen type of cartoon which isn't comedic is only anime. They are actually plenty of them in anime but you probably just never bothered looking into them really. You must have seen anime which only got out of japan or the ones which everyone just see.

I could suggest you Undergrads but I guess it isn't your type since it's comedy just like all the other shows mentioned above.

That's definetely not true.

Lots of cartoons are completely serious and are made for adults and teens, like Spawn: The Animated Series.

Either you've watched too much anime or you haven't watched enough western or european cartoons.
