The Lord of the Dark

One of the best horror games from this decade will be releasing its sequel sometime in fall of this year!
I didn't see a thread of this, so I might aswell do it myself.

Thoughts on the sequel? Or the first game?

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Thought the first was great, the feeling of helplessness was awesome just...kinda wish you could shove people out of the way at least.

The first was awesome but it kinda got less scary as you went on and understood more of what was going on. Cool twist though.

The setting of two looks damn creepy. I like how it's totally different but at the same time retains the gameplay and style of the first game. They didn't just go "Aha ANOTHER asylum" they changed location type completely but it's still Outlast.

I wonder how they're going to keep the scares fresh this time around?
These games definitely need to be quite short. After a while it just gets annoying when you're killed rather than scary, whereas in something like Silent Hill you can fight back but with that comes tension, inventory management, freaking out about having one bullet left and the fear of having to confront the creepy monsters.

I honestly wouldn't mind if they had a new asylum. The old asylum was so creepy, it could work. I'd love to see some of the old characters that died, like Trager or Walker, as they were the best antagonists by far, but unfortunately they can't come back.

I hope the "monsters" are still just as good and terrifying.
