Surprised they'd do it this early (everyone was expecting E3) but other than that, I'm pretty excited for the system. |

I think it's too soon after the Wii U. Not only does it look desperate on their part, but a lot of people essentially bought a console that was already dying early into its life span. |

There's a really fine line though; if they released it in 2018/19, then it's possible that Sony and Microsoft would release their consoles just a year or so after it, meaning it'd suffer the same fate as the Wii U. |

The Super Nintendo was around for the same amount of time as the Wii u has been, before they released the Nintendo 64. |

I just feel like I wasted some money on it, and I bought it in 2014. I mean yeah it still technically has a year left, but I'm sure all the priority now will be in making NX games. Hasn't the "Zelda Wi U" game even been confirmed to be moved to NX now? Or is that just a rumour? |

Yeah I'm already seeing a lot of backlash from Wii-U owners that feel like they wasted money. Most people only seem to have like 5 games they like on the thing and now it's going to be pretty much redundant next year? They picked a good time to release it though, it won't have to contend with the big releases from the other platforms late this year or late next year. But they're going to be in trouble if there isn't a solid line up of games for it, people are already sceptical that they might be buying another dying console. Seems like Nintendo are going to have the last console anyway, Xbox is obviously becoming a PC and I think Shuhei of Sony said that he "Doesn't know if there will be a PS5" so they're most likely going for PC or a modular console thing also. Fine with the March 2017 release date though I don't understand why they can't show off some of their titles for that system at this year's E3. Why they choose to only focus on Zelda IDK. |
