Why don't you want the government to be involved? Don't you feel more secure? :'(

Just because they CAN sue you doesn't mean that they'll win their law suit. A murder could argue that they were told by Miss Piggy to kill people, it still wouldn't fly very far.
But they CAN win their law suit which is retarded.

Murder is completely different.

If someone definitely saves your life it shouldn't be possible to take any form of legal action against them unless they actually did something illegal and on purpose.

Why do courts even entertain the idea of things like that?

"If he didn't give me CPR I'd have been brain dead at best but...I didn't give him consent to touch me!"

"Get out"

Is how it should go.
I don't know if this is nation wide (US) but there are laws to cover "good Samaritans" who help people in need to whatever level their education training allows. Where I live, people need to have DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) paperwork/medical jewelry to prevent medical providers from helping them when they are unconscious.

Whenever the government or the authorities keep getting involved in cases that don't involve terrorism or murder, it can drive some of us insane, plus they took away our freedom of speech too!
