It dosent have to make sense since its a cartoon first of all as theres other characters in other media who have pulled feats very similar to this. Its a speed feat since Goku was already moving before the Time Froze. Gokus statement, Hit's Reaction and Him Moving in Timeleap shows that Goku broke the Time Barrier. He Point blank stated he was above his Time Leap now.
That's just a cop-out. It doesn't have to make sense, but that's just being unbelievably lazy. Either explain your feat or don't put in something ridiculously over-the-top in the first place. How is it a speed feat? If he was moving fast enough to negate the Time Leap, why was he stopped in time at first?
How is it a Cop Out. Goku Himself stated it, He was shown moving while time was still frozen. All your saying for this whole argument is that "It's impossible" When many characters in other media have done feats similar to this. Hit was also shocked that he was moving and point blank punched him when time was frozen.
Can you tell me why Goku was actually frozen at the start?
It could be that when Time stoped Goku's momentum started blowing up when he kept moving prior to when Hit Froze Time . Cause the whole point of time leap is to completley freeze time Yet Goku was showned to move and fight during when the technique was active which again suprised Hit.
Why would that take any time though? Surely if he was moving fast enough to break the Time Leap, he wouldn't have stopped at all. Instead he stops, loses all 'momentum' in the Time Leap and still manages to move fast enough to nullify it?
Again the whole concept of moving threw frezed time dosent make sense, this is a cartoon and in this cartoon Goku taged Hit when He froze time. Goku shouldnt have been able to move at when Hit activated Time Leap but he did. This is supported by Hit's reaction and Goku's statement
So it doesn't even make sense in and of itself then. It can't decide whether it wants Goku to move through the Time Leap or not, so it shows him getting frozen and moving in the same scene. That's just shoddy, honestly. If you're gonna have a ridiculous feat, at least go all the way with it and make it consistent with itself. This just seems to be a case of Super showing off without having any real substance at all. ''Look guys, look how fast Goku is!'' ''But that doesn't make any sense.'' ''...Look how fast Goku is!'' If he'd moved from the start and Hit's Time Leap didn't stop him at all, it'd make a little more sense. It wouldn't be logical in any way, don't get me wrong, but at least it'd be consistent. Super being fiction doesn't excuse the poor writing, man. ''It's just a cartoon, things don't have to make sense'' is just giving them a free pass to focus solely on style over substance, and that just doesn't slide with me.
The fact of the matter is Goku was moving threw frozen time, Call it iffy but it happened (Which was something he couldnt do prior). Again it could just be the momentum build up like i said before. You cant exuse the fact that Goku Tagged Hit in Time Leap (A Technique which frezzes time) If it was the momentum build-up, why would he stop in the first place? If it was just momentum, only his body would move; he wouldn't have any control over it. He'd just continue to move in the exact same pose as he was in when time stopped. He had control when he started moving, so it's not that. By all accounts he shouldn't have been frozen in the first place, yet he was. He suddenly started moving again, so he either had a speed boost (which doesn't make sense, he was using his full speed) or he had a strength boost (which doesn't make sense, he was using his full power). It doesn't follow through at all. If he'd just kept moving and not stopped at all, it would've been a little better, but the writers specifically had him frozen there for some reason.

That doesn't work at all. Either he's got enough velocity to nullify the Time Leap straight away or he doesn't. Velocity isn't 'delayed' and, if it was, that would mean that it's frozen in time, which obviously isn't the case because it managed to nullify the Time Leap.

If his intense velocity could've broken the barrier, why didn't it until he started moving? Surely his velocity would break it as soon as he was frozen, yet he didn't start moving instantly.
His Velocity Could have been Frozen along with Goku and Built up/Start up while time was frozen breaking it. This is Frozen Time, but the fact of the matter is Goku started moving again while time was frozen and tagged Hit which can be the case as Goku dosent know not one Time Manipulating technique
His velocity was frozen as well? That doesn't work at all. Either he's got enough velocity to nullify the Time Leap straight away or he doesn't. Velocity isn't 'delayed' and, if it was, that would mean that it's frozen in time, which obviously isn't the case because it managed to nullify the Time Leap. He didnt nullify it since the technique was still active. He Tagged Him in Frozen Time which isnt Nullifying it since it would mean he would have cancled out the whole technique and this debate wouldnt even be taken place. The Guy was just moving to fast and broke the time barrier as theres way more evidence that states it. The start up is your only evidence when theres way more backing up the speed feat as Goku already stated he was beyond Time Leap. You dont know what Freezing Time Can do or How This was incorperated but Goku moved during Time leap which was something he couldnt do prior and had to rely on predicting Hit's Patterns, Now all he does is Blitz Hit when He uses Time Leap as he dosent need to predict any more.

Idk if this changes anything because they said he's basically stopping time but technically hit doesn't actually freeze time. According to the galactic King, doesn't he skip forward in time? So goku moved forward in time then right?

So goku moved forward in time then right? No, it's just a time stop that seems to depend on the opponent not being stronger than you.
To be honest if we assume Hit and Goku have similar speeds, then Goku is probably slower than light, mostly because Hit couldn't cross the arena in .1 seconds and got punched in the gut for his troubles. Even assuming the arena is like 10 times the size of a boxing ring, that's still really slow.

my guess his aura defused the time-leap technique.
to say its faster than time is just stupid and non-existent concept in DB verse (as far as i know).

I don't even know why this is being argued.
Hit also appeared to have stopped or at least slowed down when Goku started to move again.
Clearly this is done entirely for dramatic effect, not to be dissected to dismiss the feat.

And, I repeat, it is done for dramatic effect for the surprise buttzekz from Goku.
It has nothing to do with logic.

I personally don't see how someone can be faster than time if they're slower than light, just seems... Odd to say the least. The technique is probably more like Nox's time stop where enough power can let you break it, rather than Dio's which stops time period.

How do you even break through time stop, Tinny?
|
Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!
Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

It has nothing to do with logic. This is obviously the case ^ I would've said the same thing but I felt like people would just think it's a cop out
@tinny because he's not slower than light. Just because hit only punches them once doesn't mean he's not faster than light. Basically that's like asking why ssj2 gohan only punches cell once when he could completely beat the s*** out of him without cell even seeing it coming
