Man, Sesshoumaru is one mean mother. Except Rin, he doesnt give a s*** about anyone & carries same calm composure even as he slices down thousand yokais with his Bakusaiga, Tokijin, Tenseiga etc Inuyasha hitting Myoga has always been treated on lighter veins. As he does with Totosai, or Shippo or even Koga. But not Sesshy. Dat demon does what he says & before you realize it, he has already carved your heart out. Ofc, Jaken being his cheerleader for a long, long time & served some purpose like finding location of Tessaiga & such. So his life was spared. Besides Rin, I think Kagura was the only 1 Sesshoumaru showed genuine anger & sorrow (some real emotions) which is quite subtle as far as romance goes in Takahashi's lore. Kikyo/Inuyasha's love angle was classic Kagome/Inuyasha romance was cute, but can be annoying at times Sango/Miroku relationship was very "open" as in most shojo seriez Just wished Kagura/Sesshy romance was shown at some point. |

Well, Sesshomaru is so strong he could have killed Jaken anytime, he wanted to but didn't. Jaken joined him after Sesshomaru killed a Demon that was terrorizing Jaken's home-area, so he easily could have killed him but never did. |

To be frank, Sesshoumaru needed someone to babysit Rin while he goes off finding Naraku & Jaken just happens to be there Its no one's secret Sesshy dearly cares for Rin, even going to extent of using his iniyially despised Tenseiga to bring Rin back to life While he flat-out sliced Jaken without a second thought to test the sword, indicating Sesshy doesnt give a jack about Jaken or his life. Ofc, Jaken was spared as the effect of the blade is only on "beings" of not from their Sengoku world. |

Its not about who was "with" you the longest Its about who "stayed" (in your heart) longest & Rin was the one. Haven't you come across countless fanfics of Sesshy/Rin romance? More than a Father-figure/Guardian, Sesshoumaru genuinely cares for Rin & the latter actually loves Sesshy, esp so in the JPN version. Now, why would Sesshy develop feelings/romance with a toad as Jaken? Lol |

I'm just saying he never even attempted to kill Jaken. At no-point. And I thought Kagura was who his romance was with. It's also a lot more normal. |
