. Women still pay more for common household items like shampoo, deodorant, and even socks. Women are still the minority in government.

Most of this does have to do with socialization, yes, but it's still something that needs to be worked on.
Thats true, but you are generalizing a bit... But lets see in another perspective. You cant expect a 250lbs male to play with a pink babydoll... and nor I can expect so that a 120 lbs woman will be a top tier wrestler. /sometimes they do happen though/

Its just like that.... humans are like this

As for the government part... hmmm people are biased biased so that men cant cook that well as women do, and woman cant govern that well as male used to.

But that bulls***... which comes from social dogmas

He asked for examples of inequalities, so I gave him some.

Well I can't really understand his post but you listed a bunch of cases which feminism would fight for. The rest I agree with but the products is just supply/demand. Also women's razors are the same as men's with different colors. Thought I'd point that out for those wasting their money on them.

A lot of what you're basing your argument off is old ideals with the whole breadwinner thing. Sure in the PAST it was viewed that way but currently and in the future its gonna change based on how they (children) are raised. All that depends on the parents who are currently super sensitive cry baby millennials, and you better believe they're gonna teach their kids about equality haha.

Sexualization? That is nothing but an easy way to get the males attention by marketing firms. You're grasping at straws here. Also what are you trying to do exactly? Eliminate every type of sexualization, because by doing that you'd be blocking freedom of expression. For example I live in California and whenever I visit SF with my friends we check out local art galleries and a lot of it is naked beautiful women being portrayed and painted by none other than women themselves. Check out Soey Milk's work for example.

OFG, both men and women are sexualized it's just a case of who does it more, and IMO that's natural considering men are easily lured in by sexy women in advertisement. Another thing is that you would be directly hurting women themselves by taking their many modeling jobs away in an industry that women dominate.

On the whole rape thing I do feel sorry for you, because I don't think you can change that. Men are way to sexually driven, and when you combine that with a pervy creep you might end up with a potential rapist, and that's just human nature.

My Dear Melancholy,

Hey OFG I don't think this has to do with rights. But how you feel about female ONLY parking spots that some states(or countries) have or trying to have?

It truly was a Shawshank redemption

Also, men are always going to be more physically intimidating than women. Regardless of how much progress is made in lowering the amount of rapes, you're never going to rule it out completely, so that physical intimidation and 'it might happen' will always be there. Hell, I'd bet there are a lot of men out there who look over their shoulders when walking in certain places alone at night for fear of getting beaten up by other men.

@Mitas: Of course, but men don't have to live in fear of being raped. Sure, plenty of men are raped, but there isn't that constant fear.

@Queen: I think that's stupid.

Yeah i'm a guy and there are a lot of places i would not like to be alone at. and the "pink tax" thing. i would just buy the cheaper product. right now i use pink razors, i don't care. if i had to buy more and seen pink ones cheaper i would rather save money.

You have a fear of being raped while waking alone at night, and I(men) have a fear of being jumped or shot at while walking home alone at night and that's just human nature. BTW that statement isn't just an assumption on my part it comes from experience. Last semester in college I would drink and smoke with my friends daily usually until 3-4 am and would walk home alone to my home which was a 30 minute walk and every time I felt extreme paranoia of being killed, but I alone am the person that put myself in that situation all those times. I accepted the danger tho, partly cuz I was intoxicated.

Easy fix, don't walk home alone at night BY YOURSELF no matter who you are.

It isn't about whether or not you walk home late at night. It's the fact that this fear exists in the first place that's the problem. Socialization, bruh.

Also, don't even get me started on the cesspool of rape, drugging, and assault that we call college campus.

Fear is an important defence mechanism that keeps people alive and out of dangerous situations.

Wtf are you even arguing? Don't be scared to walk home alone at night? You should, because you can be killed, mugged or raped.

What I'm arguing is that rape culture exists, and it's a problem.

*gasp* Yes, anti-feminists are gonna hate me for that one. Seriously though, what's not to understand about my posts? Women are raped and sexually assaulted more frequently than men. It is a serious problem for women. Always has been. That creates an inequality, which is what Nobody was asking for. My initial post was in response to his question about inequalities between men and women. I'm sorry, but socialization presents plenty of inequalities. Women are sexualized, women are considered weaker, women are viewed as docile homemakers by a large percentage of the population. That leads to women being mistreated, and, yes, it can lead to rape and sexual assault as well. Not to mention sex education sucks in America, but that's another story for another day.

Also, please refrain from being a dick. "Wtf are you even arguing?" You know what I've been arguing. Don't attempt to run me around in circles.
