Well, I hate to break it to you, but what is "right" is equality between the two genders. AKA feminism. |

Again, modern feminism isn't about equality. In America and most of Europe women are treated equal to or greater than men in all aspects by companies and governments. If you mean on an individual basis, peer to peer, then it's impossible to force on someone. You can't disctate how an individual treats you because your feelings are hurt. |

i dont think women generally has less right, maybe in the arabian countries where they shall always cover their faces and they are being treated like women were in europe back in the middle ages. women and men shall be totally equal. In terms of rights, in terms of carrier, in terms of social norms. |

Well, that's your opinion. I label myself a feminist because I don't want to see the history of women and everything they've fought for to disappear. It's already been fading into the background, and women just gained the right to vote less than a century ago. There are no women's history classes in high school, and even regular history is taught through a male-centric lens. I see that as a big problem. If you don't, that's your prerogative.
Yes, modern feminism is about equality. That's a fact. Like I said on a previous page, research the history of feminism and intersectional feminism and then get back with me. Until you've done that, it's useless to debate something you know nothing about. Also, women and men do not have equal rights, but is it even worth responding to? Not really. It's kind of obvious. |

Globally you are right, but in the USA and in s***tons of other countries they have equal rights. I wrote... western countries, I didnt mention African tribes and North Korea Btw, as a woman yourself. Do you feel that you have less rights than any other fellow american male person ? I mean you act like this would even affect you in any rate Dont take it personally, but you / and a lot of other female/ actually have benefits about this non equalism. I mean if you got attacked in the street by male offenders every bystander will most likely help you..... And yet when a woman abuse a male / yes it happens/ noone bats an eye. I know this has little to do with the topic, I also know that I might be way too uneducated in this "you have more rights, you have less rights" stuff. But unfortunately ....total equalism will never be a thing ...... it has social barriers. At least thats what I think |

When I say the two genders are not equal, I don't just mean that males have it better off than females do. For me, feminism is a battle for both genders. As for your question, yes, I feel like we have the same legal rights in most cases, but women are still socialized to be the homemakers while men are taught to be the breadwinners. Women are sexualized in every form of media. Men can be sexualized as well, but not as often. Rape and assault are serious issues for women. They are issues for men as well, but men don't walk down a dark street at night fearing they will be raped. As a woman, I'm constantly afraid of strange men because that is how I've been socialized, and that is a big issue in America. Women still pay more for common household items like shampoo, deodorant, and even socks. Women are still the minority in government. Most of this does have to do with socialization, yes, but it's still something that needs to be worked on. |

OFG there is women history courses in highschool...here's one out of many schools that has it. And I believe my old school suggested a unit on it or expand it to a course itself. http://m.journalstandard.com/article/20151229/NEWS/151229633
I a actually see less of that now. Even on media and in the real world. Maybe on Disney channel women are but in most cases we see a bad asf female or a dope a*** girl. The rest I agree with. The rape thing.... eh I more fear for being shot or robbed than rape since that's how the area I live at is. Edited by QueenTD, Apr 13 2016, 07:30 PM.

Well Oklahoma is a dry a*** state to begin with. No offense. Gotta go East coast because we lit and things are different here than the boring middle. Also I think our stuff cost more because our stuff is better. And smell better . Especially lotion. Sea Salt Ocean, Orange Resistance or Dry Skin Lotion

Though I do wish they'll throw us a bone and don't increase the prices for her natural monthly events. Don't our razors cost more too? |
