Discuss anything history related. I don't know how much anyone knows about this subject but I was wandering how much Elizabeth I actually ran the country. What I perceive from all the reading I've done on that period is that William Cecil was the real brains behind the English golden age. Thoughts? |

Um what? Okay not sure what you are talking about but whatever. History seems to be something that is self-explanatory at first but when you dig deeper it transforms into a very different idea than the perspective that you had held on to for awhile. Andrew Jackson is on the 20 dollar bill in the United States, however, he was a cruel man even for his time. Just an example. |
