So the Reach show up one day and decide, "Hey, let's test out our warrior by sending him against these guys". Black Beetle obliges because he's a sadist, and the Reach capture his opponents and put them in a gladiatorial arena. The team has exactly one minute to make a game plan before Black Beetle charges them. Can they take the Reach warrior? Black Beetle RT Cinder RT RWBY RT Noctis RT |

The only thing Noctis can contribute here is being an annoying punk a*** with his short range teleportation and weapon teleportation. Thankfully he does have the ability to just make them disappear at will so if the strategy to stop him from getting away was to hold on to one of them that's out of the question. Other than that... only his summons can really do anything due to AOE and Titan digging through the Earth and holding up a massive hill in game.![]() Can that strength be of any help here? It probably is enough to overpower Black, but not enough to kill him if a blast of this size would be survived by him![]() ![]() (Those were separate instances as well) How a Beetle could have survived the blast is not explained, but with how confident Scarab was that Blue could survive it, I see no reason Black couldn't. That being said, Black doesn't take slashing damage quite as well as explosive damage, nor from heat(though he is resistant to both). Also, he's weak to magic, but I'm not sure if what's being used here would count as that. |

Ramuh is referred to as an astral entity if that would count? But... he only uses lightning from the skies so again I don't know lol. |

Well, that could possibly work. Does he generate real lightning or is it magical though? That's the real question, and it decides how well he does against Black. If it's magical, he can possibly one shot him. If not, Beetle's shrugged off electricity before(though not as much as a lightning strike) |

In the gif I have of Ramuh's summon in Noctis' respect thread, the sky is literally clear until Noctis goes into critical, then storm clouds appear and lightning starts striking the ground from the sky. Ramuh appears, channels lightning in his staff and then tosses the staff at the ground and causes a super large electrical explosion. Spoiler: click to toggle

So, just to be sure, how badly does he do against slicing weapons and heat then? |

Yeah, that would probably destroy his armor if it hit. Question is if he can survive long enough to do that and if Black can dodge it or interrupt it somehow.
Hyper sharpened alien blades cut a few centimeters into his armor, which he rapidly regenerates after that. As for heat, a beam of several thousand Celsius+ cut about an inch into his armor and when it struck a weakpoint(he had a weapon deployed and it shot him in the weapon) it tore off the armor on his chest and back...before it regrew a bit later. I say he's relatively vulnerable because everything else did nothing to him, but that's not to say that he's going to fold to heat or slicing damage in an instant. BTW, I got the temperature of the laser cutter based off of the fact that he tanked plasma blasts, and even cold plasma is several thousand degrees Celsius(though the problem could be with the plasma blasts he took being less focused) |

That is true, I am imagining a scenario where Titan is holding beetle down while Ramuh is charging that up. That sounds actually kind of cool honestly. Issue again is Titan is... kind of like the Titans from attack on titan, somewhat sluggish looking. |

He doesn't need to be very fast, Black is the type to try to tank everything because he's cocky as Hell. How vulnerable would Titan be to a plasma blast, sonic attack, or electrocution? While Black does try to tank everything, he usually counterattacks the moment after his tank, so whether or not he'd be held down depends on whether Titan can keep hold with Black doing a counterattack. |

I have no idea and neither does anyone except Square Enix at this point lol. Going to have to unfortunately wait until either the 5 part anime brings something for it up or the feature film or the game itself. So far nothing has given any clarification on that. The only thing we get in reference is that the summons are physical manifestations from the powers of the stars and have deep history with the deities that exist. |

Hmmm, hyper sharpened alien blades sounds pretty effective in all honesty... Though I doubt the fire will do anything, Cinder's powers regarding the fire have been explicitly described as magic, or rather the Maiden's powers are described as magic. Allot of Cinder's use of fire is her utilizing the Fall Maiden's powers, particularly the final blast she sent at Ozpin as their fight reached its climax. One could argue that she's using magic fire when she taps into the Maiden's powers. Edited by Tinny, Apr 2 2016, 01:32 PM.

If it's magic fire, she can pierce his armor, but like Noctis, the issue lies in keeping him pinned down after his armor is destroyed. Because it has been destroyed before, and it just regrows unless he takes completely catastrophic damage. Also, on hitting him before he hits her, that too. That being said, with all the magic flying around, Black is playing a risky game |

This seems interesting and might actually have an effect on how well Noctis performs. http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Armiger_Arsenal |

The space-time cutter seems to be a bit of hyperbole and more so means that he can just warp with it. |
