In the UK anyone who has access to the BBC has to pay a fee for a television license. It exists so that we don't have commercial advertisements on the BBC channels and radio stations.

Personally I think that it should be null if you own a digital set top box excluding free view. If you own a Freeview box then it should be an optional service, not mandatory. I think it's wrong that we must basically fund the BBC by law. Instead it should be subsidised by Virgin Media, BT and Freeview owners.

What are your thoughts on this?

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

you think it's pretty silly, the only BBC channel you ever find slightly worth watching > BBC3 & this s*** > like £80 >< something isn't it?

you don't watch TV anyway most of it > mindless drivel >< stuff you've already seen the only thing that interests me coming from the BBC > Doctor where.

It should totally be optional but then, they'd never get any money so that will be a hard thing to get changed.
Would rather just see adverts than pay a silly amount of money for the news & Doctor where for a short time every year.
