Lets say i have a monitor which can go up to 1080p, but the native resolution is 1600: 900 since 1080p would make everything so small.

However the good part is this. I play the games usually on either 1280*720 or 1366*768 So in HD.

Does this make any bad in displaywise... I mean if the game's resolution is below way below the native res.

I mean stretching the image thus making it blurry

I have a 1080p monitor that's 25". I play all my games in windowed mode and they all display perfectly in the maximum windowed mode sizes. Try it!

You should be able to adjust the windowed mode resolution until it fits correctly. It shouldn't blur or stretch, it should just crop itself a bit.

The trick is to use the AMD/NVIDIA control panel. Choose "centered" and you'll play the game full screen with black bars. Make sure that if your monitor has its own scaling option, it's turned off.
I love building PCs. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask. I can help you with almost any kind of PC you'd want to build.
