滅Are you frightened?

What are the odds of one happening within our lifetime or is that too farfetched at the given time period we're in?

First I've heard of it, too. Looks interesting, though.

I suppose global warming doesn't help.

Damn my house shakes just from regular wind. What could cause such a massive storm?

Wikipedia: A hypercane is a hypothetical class of extreme hurricane that could form if ocean temperatures reached around 50 °C (122 °F), which is 15 °C (27 °F) warmer than the warmest ocean temperature ever recorded.

Well that's only likely to happen if either the sun goes ape s*** or the Earth gets moved closer to it. Perhaps a solar flare could take out the atmosphere too. I don't think an axis shift would be enough. Fortunately the sun is due to actually cool down for a few decades, not get hotter.

Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Lol I learned about these in the book Everything Is Going To Kill Everybody my friend got me for a birthday many years ago.

I think a hypercane is basically just like what's going on in Jupiter.

A massive, self sustaining storm that would obviously kill basically everything above ground.

There's also Mega Tsunami's which are largely the same thing but water based(bet you didn't guess)

I don't know how likely either are to happen in our life time though. If a meteor or something landed in an ocean we'd probably be pretty f***ed though. Hypercanes seem less likely.

According to that book dwindling sperm count and other fertility issues are more likely to kill us though.

Not like it's a factual book but it makes some interesting and scary cases about certain things. The fertility one is the most troubling though, guess we'll have to clone people or something.

Mega Tsunami? So all natural disasters have a super status too?

I guess they do

Though I think Mega Tsunami's are just a theory but they have some scientific backing. Obviously we know Super Volcanoes are real.

Not sure if there's one for an earthquake, I guess continental plates shifting rapidly is a possibility.
Trust me I'm a scientist.
Or I was in a past life, potentially.
